I hate to be nit picky but for the sexual content, I agree thier is none but Robin does sleep naked as shown in some scenes when she gets up. Though she covers herself with her sheets.

And also the oepneing sequence with Robin rubbing and watching the t.v. excessively where Amon is shown on the t.v. I saw a website where they compared that to a Maddonna Video and the similarities were surprising.

Here's the link Witch Hunter BUZZ BUZZ

I just wanted to mention that. Overall I love the series so far (from what I've seen of it).

I'll give panegryst an opportunity for rebuttal before any changes are made.

thanks guys, my review was so biased I didn't think it would be posted

Hitokiri: the opening sequence is a little... wierd. But nothing sexual is hinted at. I suppose it could be a stumbling block for a very few Christians, but they could just fast-forward through it... if other people post and share your concern, I'll submit a change that warns about the OP sequence. And as for Robin's sleeping naked- you never see more than her shoulders and arms. You can't even see the outline of her body. It's also in a completely non-sexual context. I considered that to be of no concern (you see more skin than that just walking down the street).

a couple things about my review: first, there are a few typos; how can I fix them/submit a change? second, I appear to be a little... over the top in praise for WHR. While it is an excellent series, I ought to have included more cons... like the 'hunt of the week' syndrome that hurts the first half of the series, and the occasionally rather dry voice acting (especially when it comes to supporting characters), and the abrupt and potentially unsatisfying ending...

Just PM any changes to me. I thought I got most of the typos, but some inevitably escape our notice. (We don't mind bias as long as it's leavened with accuracy. ^^)

Just a quick question about the "witches" in Witch Hunter Robin (since I know nothing about this series aside from the synopsis given with the review, I'll put my question in spoiler tags. That way, if what I'm asking about is a plot twist, I won't give anything away:
I thought I heard somewhere that the "witches" aren't really people who practice magic, but rather people who have, in essence, mutations. This that right?
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

that's pretty much correct...
Witchcraft in WHR is apparently not the traditional 'Devil's power', but rather a naturally occurring ability. The STN hunts witches because they are usually crazy-go-nuts murderers and have too much power for one person, not because they have a pact with the Devil.
I have just watched the second episode of Witch Hunter Robin on the television (I missed the first one last week). I'm surprised she's only 15 years old! She looks much older. When I watched it I was a bit bored, but interested at the same time. ^-^;; they don't talk much and sometimes there is no action. But I was really interested at the same time, because it was original than what I have seen.

Thank you for the review! I'll continue watching it! ^-^

Sounds good! I was a bit iffy about the witchcraft thing but with those little spoilers my fears are gone. Could you maybe add that in the spoilers section of the review? It would be MUCH more clear about the whole witchcraft issue.

I was considering doing that, but I decided against it since it's pretty much just my speculation (the show never really spells it out, but you get enough hints, I guess.) However, maybe I should have added it... I'll think about it
