I don't know yet. Possibles for this year include...
1. Sally of "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
(Okay so she's not anime, but she IS cool and besides she had a cameo in "Kingdom Hearts" and that's um...nearly-anime)
http://www.retrogoth.50megs.com/sally/pages/sally-basketjackzerohill_gif.htm
Pros: I already have the necessary hair and I'm intrigued by the makeup job it would require
Cons: I do not have a scrappy dress. I could make one (I REFUSE to puchase the lame-o pre-fab costume that is available) but that could prove difficult... Oh well, I love a challenge ^^]http://www.animegalleries.net/album/251/img/137[/url]
Pros: This costume involves stuff that I already own: trench coat, oxford shirt, tie, glasses, art cart and briefcase...
Cons: The shojo-ai conntations (><;;;;) and the fact that I do not have bangs
3. Nausicaa of "Nausicaa ofThe Valley of the Wind"
http://www.animegalleries.net/album/268/img/33
Pros: This would be a VERY easy costume to put together, tho the accessories might be a little tougher to scrounge and besides I want to attempt a stuffie Teto ^^
Cons: I do not have short hair- but I could just wear her little fighter pilot cap :}
4. Lady Eboshi of "Princess Mononoke"

Pros: I have the hair and accesories for this one and the makeup would be fun
Cons: This costume would require a LOT work and is actually a little more elaborate than I'd like to tackle right now. I mean yeah I'd LOVE to be the proud owner of a kimono and some hakama but um...I'm not sure I want to try to make this THIS YEAR. Besides it's always a pain to explain myself to my mom (she's always concerned I'm wasting my money 9_9) when I take on a project THIS BIG.
So yeah, I want to do this one some time, but I think it'll have to wait another year.
