Hi everyone! I'm Britomart, and I really like this site! Yeah, I know, lousy intro, but hey, I don't do this very often. I got introduced to this site at a camp early this summer, by Shinobinokage. I think I will eventually get around to posting my artwork, but I am really busy with all this beginning of school year stuff. Would whoever reads this please tell me how I can make or get a good avatar? because obviously I don't have one, and i have no idea how to go about getting one :bang:

P.s. Does anybody else here know who britomart is? i have only met two other people who do! :jump:

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

I don't know who Britomart is either, I'm sorry.

In any case, hi! Welcome to CAA! For avatars, I suggest you do a Google search on the web. I actually made mine using a DVD player on my computer to capture an image from an episode of Fruits Basket.

Could you tell us a bit about yourself? I gather that you like art...unfortunately, I'm not an artist, so I'll have to ask vague, general questions: What kind of stuff do you draw? Any favorite subject to draw?

And I assume you're here because you like anime. What series have you seen, and what are your favorites?

You're the princess who went on a quest to find Sir Artegall after seeing him in the magic mirror that the legendary Merlin gave to your father.

Welcome aboard, fair maiden and stalwart knight (knightess?).

Argetall? I'm lost...

Anyway, welcome to the site! Despite my avatar and Sunako's occasional quips, I AM NOT A FEMALE! Anyway, you can get avatars off the internet or if ya check out the control panel, you can click Browse and pick a picture off your hard drive (so long as it meets max size specs).
