Actually, Bob the Duck has written up an awesome review for it. Although the review isn't in the database yet, he's probably the best one to ask.

The series itself has a few objectionable parts, including a premarital relationship. The OAV took the fanservice up quite a bit and I wouldn't recoomend it.

The OVA doesn't have much point to it at all. The OVA takes all the fanservice in the show and amplifies it and duplicates it. Also, while in the show, the premarital relationship was shown to cause a whole lot of stress and anguish, in the OVA, it's shown to be "no big deal" and is something to be laughed about. Besides that, there's the voyeuristic nature of Mizuho's family, and her mom's very loose sexuality. It's better to stop after episode 12, as that episode provides a valid end to the story.

I cannot comment on the WHOLE of Onegai Twins, but the fanservice in "Twins" is much higher than "teacher", at least in the 5 eps that I saw. In those 5 episodes, it's very strongly suggesting that the main character could end up in an incestuous relationship with his twin, because he doesn't know which girl is his twin and which girl is actually not related to him. They both, even though they both think that perhaps they are the twin, have a romantic attraction to him. Maybe I'm crazy, but if there was a CHANCE that a girl could be my sister, it would wipe out any ideas I would have about having that sort of relationship with her.

While "teacher" doesn't have any nudity in it (except for the OVA), "Twins" is loaded with it. It's not very detailed, but it's there. On the detail scale, it ranks the same as "Tenchi." More realistic than "Sailormoon", but not so realistic as "Ghost in the Shell" or that brief shot in "Akira." For the majority of the fanservice, It's much like Love Hina in reverse... It's mostly because of the girls' carelessness that they get caught by the guy. He usually ends up getting mad and he's upset that these two girls, one of whom is NOT his twin and one of whom is, are interrupting his life... The whole move towards potential incest really turned me off to it. As I said, I can only comment on what I've seen, as I haven't seen the whole thing.

As for my whole take on "Teacher", I guess you'll have to wait for the review to show up.

Gypsy mentioned that it's not up yet. She was just using Bob as a referrence bcause he obviously knew about the show.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

No problem - I'm very glad you took the time to search for an existing topic. ^^ As for the review, I really am working on getting it up. The little speedbump problem in this process is that I had the review on my hard drive at work, then burned it off to disc and took it off my hard drive. I'm in the process of moving, so 98% of all my possessions are in a box - including my cd books. In short, the review is packed away. When I do get it up, I'll post a link here as well as in the review section. Image
