Not necessarily. Consider that "summoning" actually has a normal definition: requesting that someone come to someplace. Summoning in most Final Fantasy games and I presume Unlimited bears no resemblance to demonic summoning.

I am aware that 'summon, summons, summoned, summoning' has a different definition, but I am also aware of the fact that all things dealing with FF that I've ever seen had magic in them, and some consider magic to be "Bad Religion". I just wanted to point that out for the sake of some who think that.
