Worlds Unseen; a collection

Postby blueraven » Sun Aug 08, 2004 7:40 pm

I've posted a couple of my writings over the fairly long period so I'll try not to repost anything that I've already posted. (Which I don't mind since there is only one short story that I cared for that I posted, titled Rain). I've been doing a little more writing and am working on my currently-still-only-one-chapter-soon-to-be-a-book-series story as well as two other storylines I've been doing more thinking and planning on within the last three weeks. I've been away from home and have no access to the computer until I am able to find a job and with that a permenant place to stay and such (so until then on the weekends I leach off my parents ^^; ). But to the point...

These are just a few poems I wrote a little while ago. Again I ask that you not comment on my grammer and such because I know how horrid it is.

Oh, Worlds Unseen *points to title* is the name of my writing site at geocities so blah title there. Truth to tell I wanted Words Unseen - since one of my two favorite poems I have written is Setting Sun I liked that the word "sun" was there, yet it doesn't scream and yet for attention.

I can't see you when you hide yourself,
from the light of day.
But I'll continue watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

You can't see me in the morning,
nor in the dead of night.
But I'm here watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

I try to give you comfort,
when nothing goes your way.
But I'm still watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

I try to wipe your tears away,
and tell you its okay.
But I'll always be watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

I whisper words of wisdom,
to ears that cannot hear.
But come what may I'm watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

You will never see me,
and that's a shame I say.
Cause I'll be here watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

I know your darkest secrets,
and your deepest fears.
I'll never let them harm you,
because I am always here.

I know you don't know me,
but I've known you your whole life.
I'm the one who's watching you,
come sunshine or rain.

I see your dreams before you,
and know what I have done.
I'll be watching over you,
come sunshine or rain.

The Stars glow bright as they always have,
the moon but a shadow of the night.
When the clouds roll in and everything is hid,
the Fireflies dance at night.

She paints the world with her brilliant colors,
Across the shining seas.
From dawn to dusk she sees her world,
And everything in between.
Ruby red, sapphire blue, and even emerald green,
She shows them off for all to see,
An artwork of harmony.
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

I liked "Angels in the Dark" the best. Very sweet and lyrical poetry, BlueRaven. ^__^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Thanks. I like Angels in the Dark but it didn't turn out just like I wanted it to. I'll probably work on making a new "version" ^^; heh. Thank you for posting.
