I originally had no response (and hence did not respond) but it now occurs to me to clarify that I meant that Inuyasha's Backlash Wave only operates when he activates it himself, and hence wouldn't work if he was surprise-attacked.

I sincerely hope that I did not appear so. Sometimes it merely feels a bit ridiculous when people get up in arms about many issues (not that this thread has been that much of an example of it, especially recently).
