Takuto Vs. Kyo--UPDATE! FINAL ROUND OF WALLPAPER CONTEST!

Postby Ashley » Sun Jul 25, 2004 11:23 pm

Alright fangirls, time to shout out for your favorite cat boy. Here are our contenders:

Takuto Kira, from Full Moon wo Sagashite by Tanemura Arina. Angry, easy to stress out, but oh-so-adorable (and with a lovely singing voice I might add) his cute ponytail drives the ladies wild! Not to mention his hidden sweet side.

vs.

Kyo Sohma, from Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya. Extremely easy to set off, rather explosive, and quite obessed with martial arts/beating Yuki to a bloody pulp, this redhead has won many a fangirl over with his rarer, quieter side.

As for the winnner....there may or may not be a prize involving the supreme catboy. And is it just me, or does anyone else think that for all their physical differences, personality wise they're fairly similiar?

Bleh! How do you expect me to choose? I should have known a day would come when I would be forced to choose between the two wonderful men. OH, horrible fate! How will I ever decide? Dead rock star? Or fight-crazy high school boy?! HOW?! HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME!?

[/drama queen moment]

But actaully, my choice should be pretty obivous. I might actaully like Kyo better, if I'd read the entire Fruits Basket manga. But I've read almost all of FMS, therefore I know much more about Takuto. Plus, I've got the Takuto avatar thing going. Sorry, Kyo. I'll always heart you too. :3

Since I haven't read FMS yet, this is far too simple for me. Kyo all the way, baby!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Though I've never seen either series, I voted Kyo. I mostly judged from appearance, and even that was hard. I know just a little more about Kyo than I do Takuto. Besides, Kyo's cat form is cooler.
