If you were being a missionary going to any anime who would you convert?

I was inspired to do this when some missionaries from my church went on a mission's trip. Basically if you were a missionary going to an anime story which animes would go to and who would you (try to) convert?
Here's mine:
Sailor Moon: Basically every senshi and their families except for Haruka and Michiru they are sorta a lost cause given their position. Guess If I were there I'd just pray for them.
Hikaru No Go: I'd try every character. But Sai a lost cause due to he's dead.
Rockman EXe: Every good guy of course.
Cardcaptor Sakura: Every good guy. (Their magic is a set back but they can still use it and be Christians I guess.)
Sonic X: I can imagine Sonic and all his little friends as christians can you?

I would defintley do Cowboy Bebop because they need God all over the place.They're all depressed and don't know their place in the world.A lot of the situations they were in were because of misguided thinking.Each one of them wanted happiness but had NO clue how to get it.Faye wouldn't be so scantily dressed(is that how you spell scantily ).Spike would have been WAY better off.Jet wouldn't be so lonely.Vicious wouldn't be the bloodthirsty person he is and well,Edward still has a good chance.

I think I'd either go to Fruits Basket. I'd probably have to give Tohru a long talk about how you couldn't get into heaven by just being a good person, but I think she'd come around. Kyo on the other hand. . .

I would do the cast of Rurouni kenshin. The reason that I would do that cast is because the whole series is him just try to atone but dosen't ask God for help and dosen't ask God to take away his sins.

DBZ: All of the good guys...even ex-villians Piccolo and Vegeta.

X-men{it's no anime,but who cares}: All Of the good guys.

Outlaw Star: All Members of the Outlaw star(i think aisha clanclan would make a good christian)

Megaman NT Warrior: all of the good guys and their allies

Street Fighter, Street Fighter Alpha, And Street Fighter II V: all of the good guys{in SF2V cammy is catholic and she wears a cross}

Inyuyasha: All of The Heroes...does that sound too dumb to you???

Big O: The Human goodguys{prayer and conversion won't work on dorothy[hope i spelled her name correctly], she's an android.}

Sonic X: the Heroes.

Tenchi: Tenchi and the Girls.

Misc: The Marvel Super Heroes{especially spider-man} and The DC Superheroes

Sonic X: I can imagine Sonic and all his little friends as christians can you?

The girls from Noir. Poor Kirika, she's suffered so much, she could really use God. Mireille, with God, could probably leave the life of an assassin and she'd be a lot happier. Hmm...I don't have a response for this question but I do have a question of my own. Why convert just the "good guys?" The bad guys need Jesus just as much as the heroes. Do you think it's because they're too evil? That there's no hope for them?

The conversion of Saul bka Paul comes to mind here. He was going around persecuting Christians. But when God revealed Himself to Paul he became a believer:

"Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 1: 13 & 14). (And yes I did look in the Bible for those verses )

Not that I'm trying to bash you for saying what you're saying but I'm interested as in why you would go to convert just the "good guys."

Golden_Griff you took the words right out of my mouth ^^ I'd go into the anime and preach to whoever will hear, including the baddies ^^ As for which anime, I think I can only go to ones that remotely resemble our own universe and thus has 'God' as we know Him. That would be Rurouni Kenshin (and not come off as Amakusa), Cowboy Bebop, Trigun (There's a 'church' and so it plausible), etc.

I would *really* like to preach in Shaman King for obvious reasons, but it's a lost cause since in that universe Jesus was a shaman *shrug*. I'd also wish to convert people in Hellsing because I'm doubtful just what their positions are XD XD

Meh, some believe he was an Essene or a Zealot (and both camps believe he was only a man) while some nutjobs believe Jesus was Krishna. By comparison, a shaman Jesus is rather tame.

Who are Amara and Michelle? The only characters of that persuasion I know about are "Haruka" and "Michiru." And, yeah... No one is a lost cause. Homosexuality is NOT the unpardonable sin. There are some issues with getting something like the Sailormoon crew to become Christians... First off, I see a thousand very bad Fanfics in the making...

I would chose characters in more realistic anime, where real world rules actually apply. That would make it actually plausible to convert them. Still, it's fodder for very bad fanfiction...

You didn't offend Golden_Griff. Golden_Griff is just interested in the way your thinking. Actually that question was directed to everyone that said they would convert the good guys. So don't feel like I'm trying to single you out.

To be honest with you, if I was sent on a mission I would most likely start with the "good guys," you know, to build confidence. Then I'll work my way to the really bad guys. Honestly, I would be terrified to walk up to Legato or Knives on my first mission (okay! I've only seen a few animes here gimme a break! ). Well, greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world...

From what I understand, Christians have no business playing around with magic, as stated in the Bible and Lengai, I used to think science was against Christianity but I am now favoring the opposite theory. Feel free to take this to PM with me, if you want to express unhappy feelings with what I've said or you just want to have a friendly discussion with me. Either ways, I'm fine with it .
