I still vote for Evangelion, for a better story and plot complex is yet to show up.

I'm glad you gave a wide variety of anime for this type of poll...a lot of people usually do like 5 to select from (usually their own favorites)

But there are still some anime that are missing from the list that I would include for 'top' choice personally.

When making a poll, is there a limit to the number of choices you can include?

There is no way from this list that you can pick the best anime. You've got comedy mixed with mecha and drama and then action. It's too wide a range.

I must say I've actually seen most of these except; Robotech, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Kikaider: the Animation, and Prince of Tennis.

So, I would think I could make a decision since I've actually watched the shows; but, I can't.

Are you going to seperate these into categories? Or even only have a contest for titles brought out in 2003 or 2004.

I know I'm complaining a lot. Sorry for it sounding like I'm complaining. I really hope you all consider thinking this through further.

I voted for Full Metal Alchemist since its got a bit of everything in it. That could be my only conclusion after reading through that list. Not to mention, you have the "toonie" shows, American released shows, and fansub shows mixed together, and those are all different voting types.

I am such a complainer, aren't I? ^_~ Anyways, hope you the best on your contest.

There have been comments as to the selection of nominees. I allowed the populous to nominate what they wanted. So if the genres and types are mixed, all I can say is that those Animes are the ones that the nominators wanted. I considered adding "house favorites" like Rouroni Kenshin, Sailor Moon, Seed, Inuyasha, and others, but that seemed to defeat the purpose. If someone has ideas on how to run this better, I gladly invite them to do it or something. No, I'm not being sarcastic. :lol:

Thanks to those who have voted and I apologize for any problems this has caused. Noir_chloe, you make very relevant points, but I suppose it is too late to do anything about it unless there is going to be a "Best. Anime. Ever. 2.0"

Maybe the very idea of a "Best Anime" is impossible. We'll see. See you all around!

Well, it's tough to choose from a list like this - I've seen most of them and really liked a lot of them (especially the second season FMP! - Fumoffu). But no poll is perfect, so what the hay, I'll choose Trigun.

And I won't comment on any titles beginning with E. This isn't the place for that, anyway.
