Kesshin's revised bio: The most I dare reveal on the internet

Postby Kesshin » Sat Jun 26, 2004 2:37 pm

I created this revised bio because, well, my old one was created when I was a newbie, and you know how that goes. Okay, so here we go.

Username: Kesshin

Age: Too young, and too old. I don't know how that's possible; somehow, it just is.

Denomination: Baptized Roman Catholic, but I lean more towards protestant views. Personally, I don't think denominations are all that important. We're all brothers and sisters in Christ. :thumb:

Bio: I come from a divorced family. I'm the eldest of several children, and it's my job to watch them. *sighs*

Personality: Pretty light, but I can be serious when called upon. Overly dramatic, and stubborn as heck. I also have a bit of a temper. It comes from having younger siblings.

My friends on the site: Ann, who keeps me laughing; UC, my favorite stoic; Lochaber, a wonderful editor and friend; Icarus, a great pal and poet; and Chloe, who's a neat mix of friend and second mom.

Hobbies: Reading, writing, drawing, watching anime, listening to classic rock or jazz music.

Favorite foods: Pistachio pudding, pomagranites, ramen, and my mom's homemade red chile enchiladas.

Favorite bishies XD!! : Kyo, Amon, and Sanosuke. But my favorite of all time is Kakashi!! *glomp*

Favorite anime/manga: Naruto, all the way. I also like Witch Hunter Robin, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, and Shaman King.

Where you're likely to find me on the site: Writing on my story thread, rping with Ann and UC, and glomping bishies on the bishie thread.

Characters I resemble on personality tests: Naruto (and sometimes Kakashi, it depends on the test) from Naruto, Hige from Wolf's Rain, Yoh from Shaman King, and Meryl from Trigun.

Given that I see you so often on the site, I figured that it certainly couldn't hurt to know more about you.

Mmmmmmmmmhmmm.... I love spicy food too. Enchiladas are the best.

Here's another question: Any pets? You seem like the type of person who has pets. Personally, my house is overrun with cats. My sister's cat had kittens about a month ago and now you can't walk without stepping on one. They're really cute though...

*chokes* I laugh every time I see that. I have half a mind to dig up that thread and quote UC saying something along the lines of the joys of grave digging… ;)

Yep, spicy food rocks. I get that from my mom.

I do have a cat named Callie. I love cats. ^^ My family would have more, but my dad doesn't really like them....

Nice new bio, Kesshin. ^___^ You like spicey food? So do I. My favorite food is chile rellenos.

Aw, thanks. ^__^ I get that a lot - the mom part. I didn't realize you were the oldest of so many siblings. Now I see why you seem so mature at such a young age.

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Man, you remind me of my mom more and more all of the time. I don't really like chile rellenos all that much, but she's crazy about them. Do you like chile Colorado? Mi Amma used to make that, and I used to wolf it down back when I ate meat.

I am guessing you are a fellow Hispanic. ^____^ Chile Colorado? Isn't that just red chile and beef? I may have eaten it a very long time ago in L.A. You need to develop a taste for rellenos since you can have them with NO meat.

Yes, I am half Hispanic, on my father's side ^^ . You wouldn't know it if you looked at me, though. I take after my mom (she's mostly Swedish). The most I get from my dad are my eyes, and a touch of olive tone in my skin (which is great, 'cause I tan well  ).

Chile Colorado is a bunch of pieces of pork, smothered in red chile sauce. *drools* I love that stuff, even if I can't eat it anymore... *sighs*

>>>You need to develop a taste for rellenos since you can have them with NO meat. <<<

You know, I really should. Mmm, spicy food.... ^^ Now I'm hungry.

My kids are half Hispanic too, since my husband is a Welsh/English mix. They don't tan well at all - T__T - they only burn.

He's right, Ann. We'll just have to think of something else. *evil grin*

Well, I'm not entirely immune, myself. If I stay out in the sun too long without sunscreen, I WILL burn. My cousins on my father's side, though, are pretty much immune. Lucky kids.... *sighs*

*grins* I'm honored that you LET me count you as a friend, Icarus.

>>>You come from a large family too? Cool.<<<

So you have other siblings besides Convoy Butterfly, Icarus? I didn't know that.
Yeah, there are just too many kids in my house. They run around, chasing each other and screaming all day... But I love them; couldn't live without them. Siblings are funny that way.

I used "Master Kesshin" to parallel the line said by Kakashi after suggesting to Iruka that he told his Genins to enter the Chuunin Exam just to teach them a lesson about whining.

I haven't read your story thread but I did see the RPGing you, UC and Ann had going on. It's awesome!!! :o You guys write so much and well, I'm impressed!! I can't write nuts! XD

Thanks, Mave. ^_^ But UC and Ann do the better writing, especially when it comes to battle scenes. Personally, I stink at battle scenes. Speaking of the bishie thread, I've got to go check it out after this. See ya there. ;)

OOC: Nah, you're better than your character. Not to say that your character is necessarily bad. As long as everyone understands I don't mind.

Kesshin does not do herself justice. Her contributions to the Mist RP thread have been as vast as my own. Battle scenes do not, after all, a good story make.

Yeah, your posts at the RPG pushes the story forward and together more than any battle scene would do. Need I remind you how the three nins even got into their first mission at Cloud? ;)
