The strip is presented in two versions, attached below - the left one is the Filipino version, written in Tagalog (the main language used in the Philippines), and the right one is in English. I wrote it in Tagalog first and translated it into English afterwards, so the English dialogue may sound...kinda weird at times, for the sake of staying as true to the original version as possible. ^^;;
"Barkada" is a collective Tagalog word that means a close-knit group of friends. The closest English words I could think of would be "posse" or "clique" (without the negative connotations). This is another one of those college-life strips with corny jokes and nutty professors...something I've always wanted to do, I have to admit. XD These are the misadventures of Mark, Avril, Mae, and June, all seniors in the University of the Philippines.
