I have just downloaded two episodes of Bobobo~bo Bo~bobo and was shocked. Its one strange anime series that pokes at everything from Sailor Moon to Soap Opras!

In the year 300X AD, the age in which Earth was to be ruled by the Margarita Empire had come. The emperor, Tsuru Tsururiina IV, in order to make everyone in the world be bald, sent out an army of hair hunters. Hair hunting was going on all over the place.

Even today, Hair Hunter Block G under squad leader Pikari was rampaging through a village. One after another, they attacked the villagers and used their "hair cutting martial arts" and cut off everyone's hair. Meanwhile, a little girl named Beauty was watching these events unfold. However, she was found by Pikari. She had her hair almost taken when a whip like thing came flying and took Pikari down. Beauty was somehow able to get away. That long whip was actually a long nose-hair controlled by a man named Bo~bobo Bobobo~bo. He has been travelling around the world destroying the Hair Hunters. Upon arriving at the Block G headquarters, Bo~bobo suddenly enters a battle against Captain Haagen. Bo~bobo uses his special nose hair attacks but Haagen does not hesitate in countering Bo~bobo is faced with a tough situation, but... - AnimeNfo.com

I wondered when Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was going to be mentioned here. In fact, I was considering to be the thread starter XD XD It's the craziest anime (and manga) I've ever read or seen. Even the crazy-ness of Excel Saga has NOTHING on Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

It is so freakishly weird that there's not even time to laugh anymore XD XD I highly recommend it to people who like stupid anime like me XD

It's coming soon to the USA? As in going to be licensed and dubbed? NOOOO NOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I'd have to see it to be sure if it is indeed better than Furi Kuri. It'll be hard for it to pull that off.

I think he meant not the quality of the two animes, but that BbbbBbb is incredibly more wackier than FLCL could ever be. I mean, BbbbBbb has this much of gags: |------------------| and this much of plot advancement: |-|

There was a little bit about the manga in one of the recent issues of US Shonen Jump.
It certainly sounds...interesting.

I did hear somewhere however, that it has some cultural jokes that would be a pain to translate into English.

wow... i'll have to look into this anime... how many episodes long is it?

Im not 100% sure its coming, because some jokes are Asian related and US people won't get it without a little translation on the upper top (like the fansub).

Well, im not sure how many episodes the're are, but right now the fansubbers are at its 5th episode.

Besides that, the ending theme rocks XD !!

Ahh yes, Shonen Jump covered this, and sparked my curiousity.. In fact, I was gonna post a thread on it. According to one review it's clean... Of course the fact it's only in Japanese doesn't help.
