Anyone seen any imaginative/cool anime?

Postby olorc » Wed Jun 16, 2004 4:44 pm

I have been craving an anime that takes place out side the ordinary world and really gets my imagination working. :?: What I mean by this is not something like Records of the Lodoss War where it takes place in a typical fantasy realm. .Hack is the type of experience I would like. Nothing too bloody and no nudity or sexual content would be good.
Any suggestions?

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

A splitting brow forced by the thorns
His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Aww, Ink stole my suggestion! Bad Ink! Seriously though, I haven't seen too much of Last Exile, but from what I saw it was amazing. The graphics are beautiful and the storyline solid.

Though it teeters on the edge of the nudity/sexual content mark, Cowboy Bebop was also very good in my opinion. A review for that (with details about the content) is available in the database.

I was thinking of Last Exile when I read this too!

Anyway... probably Scrapped Princess or Juuni Kokki (12 Kingdoms)
Scrapped Princess is more light hearted, but I've really liked Juuni Kokki so far (its kinda stalled at 45 episode in Japan, but I have faith that they will do more!) Actually, I think Juuni Kokki is on DVD in America now... at least 1 DVD I think. Anyone know which company did it?

And check out Haibane Renmei *points above* that one gets you thinking! And I cried at the end :waah!:
