Problems uploading my picture...

Postby Godly Paladin » Sun Jun 13, 2004 3:01 pm

I'm trying to upload my very first anime drawing to the "Character Design" part of the Original art section, but I'm having problems. I click 'manage attachments', browse to the file and click upload, but after a minute or so the pop up window with the upload feature goes to a 'page cannot be found' error. My file is 403 kb and is a jpg file. What's going on? Please help!

Your file sounds awfully large and the system does have trouble with large attachments. Have you shrunk it down a little to, say, under 150KB?

Moving this to Comment Box, btw, so that others might notice/make suggestions.

Thanks. I wondered about the size, but I didn't know what might be "too large." I'll shrink it and try again.

From experience, anything above 300 kb ain't gonna do nuts.

I try not to let it exceed 200.

With Photoshop, you can either shrink the image size or lower the quality of the pic size (when saving the pic). I usually bring it down to 6, out of the scale of 12.

Actually, yesterday, I tried to upload a 1280x1024 walllpaper that was around 92.7 kilobytes on the Bishoujo Pic Thread as an attachment, and it would not accept it.

Does the pic's dimensions (width and height) matter when it comes to uploading them as attachments?
