This masterpiece.
What starts out as a very conventional melody goes through a series of variations, including novel techniques like tempo slowing, creating a gradually-growing sense of unease and anxiety. The melody gradually decoheres until, at the end, we have passing tritones. It's the perfect musical portrayal of a descent into a place that seems innocent on the surface, but becomes increasingly dark, dangerous, and chaotic. Kind of like Ravel's La Valse but in 8 bits.
