Job interview&anxiety

I just had my very first job interview this morning, and I think I did good for the most part. I feel like I could've done better though. I keep replaying a few of my failed scenarios in my head. I'll find out by Monday or Tuesday next week if I got the job or not.(they say).

Don't wait for them to call you. If you're really interested in the job, give THEM a call.

What would be the best way to ask them?

Ring them up a day or two after and politely ask the status of your application ("I was just wondering if my application was complete and if there is anything else I can provide you" is how I used to do it). If they say they hired someone else, ask them why. It's sometimes hard to listen to but the tips can be very valuable.
