I don't like the violins.
SPOILER: Highlight text to read: It's kind of a pet peeve of mine that somehow it seems composers/bands who use string sections for soundtracks or rock/metal type genres don't know how to write for strings and only ever use them for unison block chords, which is kind of like leaving a Swiss army knife closed and using it to hammer in a nail. There are a whole lot of other and more nuanced things that you can do with it. I'm also just bothered by the way they don't really fit in with the rest of the sound.
But other than that, I really liked the slow buildup and the industrial feel. Prior to the entrance of the violins, it was a very industrial sensibility but with lusher, more high-definition sounds, kind of a modern take on the genre. And it was
less overblown and melodramatic than I expected something from a blockbuster movie soundtrack to be.
雪猫 GaRage雪猫 (Yukineko, "snow cat") is the name of the band and GaRage is the name of the song.
Let others believe in the God who brings men to trial and judges them. I shall cling to the God who resurrects the dead.
