a simple introduction

Inspired by Omega Amen’s thorough coverage.

Please feel free to post or PM me about anything written here. (I’m a little worried now I’ll run out of topics to discuss). The main idea here is to give a good idea of who I am without disclosing too many particulars (name, exact residence, exact church, phone#, credit card# of near relatives, you get the gist).

The Basics
Name: not really Raskle

Age: nearly 18 (as of post)

Born: (<surprising) July 4, 1986—in “the Countyâ€

General Facts that may or may not say anything about who I really am (?)
~I like black
~I’m Valedictorian. (my gpa has ranged 95-98. My high school is weird and does not use the 4.0 scale. I never especially enjoyed school, was homeschooled 3rd-9th grade)
~I tend to run out of socks.
~I get kinda lonely.
~mmm Chinese food!
~Bit of a perfectionist when it comes to me.
~I like soda in glass bottles (like IBC cream soda). :thumb:

Other Stuff—me
Job: currently unemployed, graduating very soon

Church: a local Wesleyan church, raised in a series of Baptist and Advent Christian
churches. I don’t claim a denomination

Became a Christian: near age 3, I think—very early on. Recommitted at age 10
thereabouts.

Beliefs: religious—that Jesus Christ, who was completely God & completely man at the
same time, died for the sins of the world, and salvation may be achieved (word choice?) through a personal relationship with Him.
political—conservative, I suppose. I’ve not been especially interested in politics.

Through English class discussions which escalated to debates this year I’ve learned much about myself and solidified certain standpoints that I cling to

Also—it is the worst feeling in the world to cause others to be disappointed in me

Particular Bible verses of interest: Jeremiah 1: 6-10, Jeremiah 1:19

Role models: parents, older friends. Over the years, a lot of my closest friends have been
male. Spending much time with my father and his friends/fellow musicians probably influenced this. So I have many “older brothers.â€

... wow! That was unbelievably thorough!

INFP, very cool. We did a little survey around here and there are a lot of NFs and NTs. I'm an ENFJ myself.

From your description, you sound like a very busy person! ^_^

Amazing bio here. You make me feel quite pathetic about mine, though I don't know what kind of good it would do changing it now. I think everyone here should be able to find something in common with you, and I hope that you stay around here. Thanks again for letting us get to know you. :thumb:

Yep, totally agree with Kohkiri, thanks for the bio. Strangely enough, I'm an INFP as well (though not a valedictorian, smart enough, but far too lazy enough to be one). According to the stats I saw, INFP's are about 3% of the population, but I digress.

Very nice bio, I was also inspired by Omega's thorough bio to write one of my own, although I can't for the life of me remember if I wrote it, or just dreamed that I did.

Anyways, good to have you.

ummm...not really. I have a ton of time on my hands. My description demonstrates only how pathetic it is that I put this together in several days.

thanx-ness. oh--after checking out your profile--I used to work in a library too! My aunt (or ex-aunt or whatever) is the head librarian, so I volunteered a bit and played on the computers for many hours, socializing with librarians and occasionally checking people's books out when I realized no other such designated person was in view.

Ah, the Valedictorian thing. I found it funny, actually. I have some weird inbuilt ummm...thing that does not allow me to do much less than I am capable of. This means I've been sleep-deprived all through high school

The stats I read said less than 1%... it's cool, whatever it happens to be. :)

Funny, I'm chronically sleep-deprived, even now with no school and no job. Somewhere along the line I discovered videogames though, so that pretty much ruined any success in school that I had going. It's good to see that you're channeling your energy toward something worthwhile.

ah. thank you. I've not gotten into the realm of video games besides an occasional James Bond 007 in jnr high or mario at friends' houses, as I have no equipment for such things. yet who knows what may occur this summer.

most recent interest: westerns. I enjoy black&white films in general

plans this summer: record a few short films/sketches, learn bass guitar, lead guitar (improve my riff playing, etc), and mandolin, burn worthless papers from highschool

He he.... I think that people have this funny view that Librarians are these really quiet, serious, boring people that can't stand to hear noise. Well, they should come to my library... we have parties behind the front desk! It's great. Of course we get all the work done.... but I mean hey, how much work is there anyway? Shelving, checking out.... and... socializing!

I know! The librarians were always talking in the office when I was there--one time they had cake and soda and shared... another time they ordered a mocha shake for me when they got ice cream. I think there's only 1 quiet librarian...the others just pretend :D I also live in rural (I guess) maine, so there might've been something to do every 20 minutes.

I believe I forgot to add that I play piano at church... I'm actually getting done that to concentrate on improving my guitar and learning new instruments.

Piano's a good basis. I doubt I would have gotten far on other instruments without it.

I'd give you $10 billion, but school expenses (ie. DVDs, Ibanez guitar, pick-up truck) might get in the way.
