Now for those of you not familiar with the series, the basic concept is that after a 1000 year war against the Cylons, a race of robots that overthrew their masters, Humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction with the complete Annihilation of the 12 homeworlds (known in -universe as the "Twelve Colonies"). A single warship (the eponymous "Battlestar Galactica") and a ragtag fleet of various civilian vessels carrying the survivors of the extermination of the home worlds. Making their way though hostile space they search for a rumored 13th Colony of mankind, Earth. The series ended before they reached Earth, and the "sequel" known as Galactica 1980 is considered best forgotten by pretty much all fans.

Now this is basically an open discussion thread, so feel free throw out whatever comes to mind within reason, but I will start us off with this conversational prompt:
When Galactica finds earth, what Science Fiction's version of Earth do you think it should be?
