Tohru. People go too much by looks...and looks are deceiving. Tohru looks better than Asuka anyway. As for personality, Tohru beats EVERY bishoujo.

Last time I didn't vote because it was a tie between Asuka and Belldandy.

Uhh, shoot. I wish I could delete posts... Am I allowed to vote after just seeing pictures? I have seen pics, and heard things about NGE (which I will not discuss here) and Fruits Basket, but I've never actually seen them. Does this disqualify me? If so, I don't mind. Just trying to give support. :hits_self

It doesnt matter if you havnt seen them or not. Thats why I provided pictures so that people who havnt seen the series can judge who to vote for.

My vote: Asuka Langley Soryu

Please just don't let Tohru win. T_T We've already let Kenshin win! Bad, bad!

What does Kenshin have to do with Tohru?
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I love the banner, Hitokiri. ^__^ I vote Asuka, because I voted and campaigned for my daughter's favorite bishie, Goku, so I have to go with my son's pick on the bishoujo. *hehe*

Actually, I would have wanted to vote for another of my favorites, but this is how the contest works. It's like this in real life too, when you start voting for the office of the President. Hm, I think the Ronald Reagan thread influenced my feelings on this.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Tohru Honda!

Postby Xavier249 » Tue Jun 08, 2004 9:45 am

My vote is on Tohru Honda, she's cute. Asukas cute too, but Asukas a little hard for me to like.. . . .something to do with having seen eva.

Since I have been around for less than week could someone fill me in on who was all in this contest?

My vote goes to Tohru. She is kind, helpful, and sweet as many of you have noted. I also am biased to choose Fruits Basket over Evangelion despite my intitial interest in NGE. I've actually seen all of FB. NGE turned me off when I learned more about it, but I'll still acknowledge the fact (because of this contest) that Asuka is cool and pretty.

Tohru's more likable.

Shouldn't this contest be over? If not, when does voting end. (By the way, I'm just curious, not indignant with anyone related to running the contest. I'm really greatful for those who took time to make htis fun)

Tohru Honda

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

I have an odd question. Why are girls voting on the best Bishoujo?
Don't take this the wrong way, some of you are helping Tohru win so it doesn't bother me. It's just a curiosity question.

I already voted. :)

The same reason that guys were voting on Best Bishie. Because they can, and they want to. ;)

Tohru-kun, of course! ^_^ She's just amazing...not only is she a very kawaii bishoujo, she's also got a kind heart that no other can compare...

That at night, a gentle light will envelop you

JediSonic wrote:Who says your favorite characters have to be of the opposite gender anyhow?

Not me, its just that Bishoujo implies, you know, pretty girl. Which would then follow, the kind of character a guy would stupidly whistle at or finds exceptionally cute.

Mave wrote:There are some female characters I admire as well. ^^ Simple as that.

Special thanks to hitokiri for that list.
Sad to see neither Fuu(of Rayeath), Arashi (of X) nor Miyuki(of RBHS) made the list. My fav Bishoujo's in order.
EDIT: O my, I forgot Subaru!!! (ALL my .hack is on loan so "out of sight out of mind..") Shes 2nd followed by Arashi and Miyuki..

There has been a lot of time put into this though so I have no real qualms with it. It's impossible to be exhaustive, after all.
