OOC: You're welcome Konekochan. I'm glad I was able to help you out! :)

IC:

Nashta

Nashta leaned back against the wall, silently gasping for breath. She hadn't been running long, but the adrenaline was still rushing through her system, so it seemed like much longer. When she had caught her breath, she clapped a hand onto Vionna's shoulder.

"Thanks, I owe you one."

Aleza

Luckily for Alez, she was flying overhead, and could barely hear the faint sound of a familiar laugh. 'That's right, Vionna was on sentry duty nearby. Maybe she's seen Nashta!' Following the sound, she was relieved to find both Vionna, and Nashta safe and sound.

Alez had to land on a nearby lamppost to keep from falling to the ground. Letting out a soft sigh of relief, she dimmed her glow, keeping out an eye for passing patrols.

Treasa

Sitting down, Treasa couldn't help but smirk at her friend's enthusiasm. "Is it safe to assume that there will be no spiking of the punch this year? Or will I have to remember to constantly check my drink for unwanted additions?"

~Jim~

"Rick, head back to the base, give Kafei the all clear." Rick nodded, then ran down the tunnel behind them.

~Aine~

She smiled innocently. "I have no idea what you mean." She tried to keep the smile but couldn't help but laugh.

~Shane~

They rounded the bend in one of the many tunnels, only to enter a training room. "Kafei mentioned you have some experience with a bow, but you can't rely on a long range weapon in close quarters combat." He handed her a combat knife. "Try using this on that dummy over there." He pointed to one of three training dummies on the other side of the room.

She stared at the knife a moment, then walked quietly up to the dummy. He hadn't specified any special attack, so...she did an upward slash, cutting from the hip area to the right shoulder. She quickly followed up with a stab, then paused, not sure exactly what next to do.

Roshca sat and thought, trying to decide where he'd take this. "I've gotta keep everyone safe," he realized. "And somehow lead these pirates on a merry chase around Great Bay." He stared up at the ceiling. "Oh mother, why can't you be around to help us? I'm not sure what to do now!!!"

Vionna

Vionna grinned again "S'no problem! You alright?" She asked curiously "Were the patrol chasing you?"

Nashta

Nashta nodded. "Yeah, they were. Is the meeting over?"

Treasa

Treasa's smirk almost turned into a grin. "Of course you're right your Highness, I don't know what I was thinking asking such a question." Letting out a soft sigh, she turned to the food on the table. "After all, how could you possibly pass up the chance to make me drunk?" She grinned.

~Aine~

She laughed at her friend's comment. "I just hope the festival is more lively this year. Even getting kidnapped by a monster again would be interesting." She said, half jokingly.

~Shane~

He nodded at Romani's move. "Not bad, but when you're in really close you need to stab and slice quickly." He pulled a knife from his boot and demonstrated. "Like that."

~Link~

He had everything he needed for his costume now. Now he just had to await Kafei's orders.

~Kafei~

He tended the Inn with Anju and let the Keatons go about their business for the night.

OOC: Banana, we can skip some time with the Deku in the morning and skip to night time. Wolf, the time will skip along with it for Roscha, his sister and the Zora. Koneko, you're doing good, keep it up.

Treasa

Treasa barely refrained from frowning at the Queen. Even if it had only been in jest, few would have been able to laugh. It had been a sore spot for Treasa and the Palace Guards especially. Treasa was supposed to be with Aine that day, and the Palace Guards had been patroling when the then-Princess had snuck out.

Somehow, Treasa remained relaxed and cheerful, or as cheerful as she got with witnesses. "Be careful what you wish for." She teased.

Aleza

"Nash, Vi!" Alez landed lightly on Nashta's shoulder, having already scouted out the nearby streets for patrols. "What happened to the patrol?"

Vionna

Vionna laughed "The ones that were chasing Nash?" She smiled at Alez from behind her mask, forgetting she had it on "We totally left them in the dust; I doubt they even saw us! It was brilliant!" She said, her cheeky manner showing.

Aleza

Alez laughed. "Thank goodness! When I left I was worried that Nash'd do something stupid." She bumped against the cheek of Nashta's mask. "Guess I was right!"

~Jim~

He hauled himself out of the grate, whistling a signal to let the others know he was approaching. He smiled as he saw Nash, Alez, and Vio just sitting there laughing. He sat down on the ground a few feet away. "Nash, since you weren't there the whole time, Kafei passed a message down the Bomber line." He handed her a slip of paper, containing the plan for Link's debut as the Gray Fox, which was to occur during the festival of time.

~Aine~

She laughed. "Oh, I'll be careful, Trea." She smiled and began to eat her breakfast. She looked up at her friend with a mouthful of food, then motioned again to the seat beside her.

Nashta

"Thanks." Nashta reached out and took the piece of paper, studying the picture on it. 'So, the Hero's gonna help out now, huh? Took him long enough to get here.' She handed the page to Vionna. "Here, have a look."

Treasa

Sighing, Treasa moved over to sit next to Aine. "You do know that I'm supposed to wait for you to finish first, don't you your Highness?"

Vionna

Vionna studied the paper, raising an eyebrow "Hm.. " She looked at Jim and Nashta with a small smile. 'So he is here.'

~Aine~

Aine rolled her eyes at Treasa. Then pointed out the gleaming cups on the table, which were highly reflective. After she had finished chewing and swallowing, she looked at her friend. "Oh, forget these rules for once, with the massive amount of reflective surfaces, it would be suicide to try and sneak up on us."

~Jim~

"You guys understand basics now, so I'll be heading back to base." He ducked back into the grate, not before grinning and winking at Nashta.

Treasa

Treasa shook her head. Sitting down though, she had to admit, Aine had a point. I would be easy to catch anyone sneaking up on them. Unless it was one of the butlers or maids, or there was some poison in the food or drink...

~Aine~

Her leaves twitched as Treasa sat down. "Come on, Trea, enjoy breakfast. Please?"

OOC: So are we about done with the stuff in Clockwork? Then we can transition to night whenever you guys are ready. You guys just have your characters wake up, then I'll ease Link, Kafei and Anju back in.

OOC: The Deku thing takes place in the morning, the Keatons actions take place at night on that day. So we'll skip ahead with the Deku's after breakfast so they can catch up with the Keatons.

OOC: Okay, thanks Twister.

Treasa

Treasa sighed. Aine was right, she was being ridicules. All the food was tested before it even reached the table, and all the maids and butlers had proven themselves to be trustworthy.

Smiling apologetically, Treasa grabbed a goblet and took a sip.

Treasa

Treasa smiled at her friend, but her mind remained elsewhere. If the Queen was going to be joining in the festivities, that meant traveling to Clockwork City. And that meant that guarding her would be even more difficult then usual. Not only that, but like every year, she could want to see Kai, and as always, Neruraci would refuse. Which meant that Aine would try and sneak away, and Treasa would have to find some other way to distract her...

Treasa hid a frown by taking a sip of her Gaichi soup. This would take some planning, not to mention that she would have to meet with Neruraci sometime to discuss it. That would be difficult as well, because if Aine realized what they were talking about, she'd ignore Treasa for the rest of the day, so the meeting would either have to be after the Queen had fallen asleep, or while she was distracted. There were some Zora coming to visit and enjoy the casino tomorrow, so maybe while she was eating lunch with them...?

~Aine~

Aine finished her soup and sat patiently while her friend and bodyguard finished.
The day was mostly uneventful, except for a young Deku boy sneaking into the palace, bringing news of an attack in ClockWork. Aine listened intently to the boy's story. "It was amazing, your majesty." He whispered. "One o' their barracks just exploded!" He seemed to smile. "It was amazin'." He also let slip a rumor that a embassy from Hyrule had arrived somewhere. Aine thought over these rumors as she entered her room. She quickly changed into her nightgown, then lay on her bed. She stared up at the ceiling, and thought to herself: "Maybe the carnival won't be so boring this year."

Treasa

After making sure Aine was in bed, Treasa settled in to wait. She had left Neruraci a note, saying that they needed to talk about the upcoming festival. She knew that he would show up soon, and she knew that he would want to get their little planning session over as quickly as possible. Whenever Aine ignored them both, (which was actually pretty rare) it got very tense in the Palace, until she either forgave them on her own, or they did something to get back in her good graces.

He floated silently down the halls, his deku umbrella spinning around silently. He landed softly in front of Treasa, and bowed. "Good evening, Treasa."

Treasa

Treasa smiled as she popped out of her Deku Flower. "Master." She said, bowing low. She couldn't help it--she had been doing it since he had first taken her and her brothers in, after all. "So you got my note."

Treasa

Treasa sighed. So much for easing on to the subject. "We both know that she will wish to see Kai. You have denied her every other time, and she grows weary of it. I am running out of things to distract her with." Treasa gulped, "Not only that, but a young Deku arrived earlier with news of the city. There has been an attack on one of the Ancient's barracks. I am worried for Her Highness' safety."

~Neruaci~

He closed his eyes and folded his arms. "I have heard of these attacks as well." He closed his eyes. "That is why I have taken to studying Deku Magic."
He brought his arms apart to reveal a faint glow on them. "There will be a time where she will have to fend for herself. No matter what our duty is, we cannot always protect her." He closed his eyes again. "Training her in Deku Magic will serve two purposes, distracting her from visiting..." He trailed off, trying not to falter. "And to keep her safe."

OOC: This batch of Deku Magic will be simple Alteration magic, like altering clothes to act like chain mail, or something.

OOC: Could you send me a PM with some more detail please? I'm not as familiar with that magic.

IC:

Treasa

Treasa sucked in a sharp breath. "D-Deku magic, right," she said, her eyes glued to the faint glow. "Do you, uh, think you could teach me that?" she asked, finally tearing her eyes away. "For defensive purposes of course."

OOC: Yeah, sure. It's just some modified magic from The Elder Scrolls. I'll delve into the specifics tomorrow.

~Neruaci~

He smiled slightly. "Aine would be too impatient to try and learn it on her own, so I will be training both of you." His smile faded, he placed his hand on her head. "Get some rest, training will begin soon." (OOC: One thing we have to work out, unless I forgot whether we did it or not, is decide how far we are from the Carnival of Time.)
