Do you guys do anything special during Advent, besides get ready for Christmas?
My family meets every night to read a cool christmas story and discuss the morals and questions behind it. It's pretty cool, as long as my mom doesn't turn it into lecture time, which she usually does.

We used to do an Advent wreath every year, and one of us got to light the appropriate candles every night for dinnertime.

But then, children being the squabbling creatures they are, we fought over it enough that our parents stopped doing a wreath altogether. xD; We don't really do anything for Advent specifically anymore.
