Couldn't help but bump this up...heheh

I just got the 1st AzuDai for my little sisters (yea any excuse to buy anime) and it was pretty funny...we watched both the dub/sub and both have their interesting points...tomorrow my sisters' friends are coming over to watch it...ah yes, drunken teachers, insane students, and biting cats...perfect kiddie entertainment.

The next one comes out June 8, 2004 (I posted that just for you madphilb haha). Osaka's on the cover...YAY!

didn't they make Osaka like a space cadet person or something in the dub? I've only seen the first 5 eps from fansubs a long time ago and I was just to lazy to try and find more. Maybe I'll buy the dvds in a boxset... thats easier

I need to get this series, if only to silence my younger sister about the manga she's yet to read.

Just from curiosity, which character from AzumangaDaioh are you most like? We did that for most of our family. I'm like Sakaki, Em (the youngest) is a self professed Chiyo-chan, Rachel is either Tomo or Osaka, our older brother is Kagura, our sister is Yomi, and Ben we haven't decided on.

I imagine it's cheaper to get the manga series than the anime. Only four volumes to the manga, each at ~ $10. And I tend to like manga art more than anime art.

Really fun series, i've loved both the manga and the anime. I relate well to Sakaki, so she was my initial favorite and Osaka is a lot of fun too, but Tomo-chan's personality has won me over.

[spoiler]I ROFL'ed when Tomo-chan grabbed the key to Chiyo-chan's summer house and chucked them into the woods. What a classic scene. The whole thing was hillarious[/spoiler]
