Joey Jordan was playing baseball in his friend's backyard. He was the pitcher this time and self-narrated "Joey Jordan steps up to the mound. The score is tied and it's the top of the eighth. He sizes up his next victim of a strike-out." He threw the ball.

[Wolfsong]

Joshua Wilson stood on homeplate, bat raised and ready. He grinned as the ball came flying toward him. He took his stance as it came closer...closer...
WHAM!
It flew through the air, flying further and further out...over the fence.
Josh grimaced. "Oh boy. Guess we go after it, uh?"

Joey Jordan sighed. "Yep. Guess we call that one a homer." he shrugged as he readied himself to climb the fence.
Just outside the fence, a German Shepherd/lab mix saw the ball. Hm. This must belong to some kid. I need a home and some food. Maybe I should...yeah, it might work. the dog thought.
The dog walked over to the ball and sniffed it. He glomped onto it with his mouth

[Wolfsong]

Josh had to jump to grap the top of the fence, and he began the difficult process of pulling himself up. But he was a wiry kid, and was soon sitting on the top with few scratches.
"Hey Joey!" he said. "A dog's got our ball!" he lept down, wondering how they were going to take it back.

Joey climbed carefully over the fence. "Not a problem. My sister taught me a sure-fire way to let a dog know you're a friend." he said confidently.
He slowly walked over to the dog and stretched out his hand so the dog could sniff it. The dog did and dropped the dog-slobber-covered ball into Joey's hand.
"I guess he's friendly." Joey said. He inspected the dog's collar, unknowingly pressing a button on it.
OOC: That's your cue, Arya!

OCC: Mwahahaha! *cracks knuckles* I`m going to enjoy this.

"Beep, beep, beep.."

Deep in the laboratory in an undisclosed location owned by [WARNING: Red clearance level required to see this information, please contact your local ICbot] a screen displayed a single red dot. Next to it was a flashing icon message. The beeping continued, crying to its master of the discovery.

"Mph..? Hzzph..." With creak of an old office chair and a spin of wheels a dark figure loomed over the screen. "Mhphittt!" The figure gasped as it swallowed the last of its tuna sandwich. "After all this time... after these years upon years of waiting." The figure smashed an angry fist against the counter. "...He would let someone activate his collar. You`re kidding me!" The voice raised to a yowling pitch. "Yes Miss Kitty, the data has been verified twice. Top Dog`s sattelite beam tracker has been activated." Said the stagnant voice of an Artificial Intellegence, or AI for short. "Well..." Miss Kitty purred while rubbing her forehead. She sat like this for several moments, her long clawed hands taking on an unnatural glow. "Spottabby!" A strange creature creapt out of the shadows, lit only by the computer screen. His body was misshapen, one eye bulging from the canine head while the back and tail kinked at an odd angle. "Create some spies to watch our taget. How long will that take?" Kitty said, her voice taking on a cold, commanding tone. The misshapen creature growled for a moment and responded in a gutteral voice. "T..two days for them... to be f-fo...formed.~Spottabby gasped at the end like the act of speaking pained him. "Go, let me know when they`re done." Kitty turned back to the computer and removed the beret from her head. Two feline ears popped up and she rubbed one tenderly. "Before long my gifts will be gone, father."

OCC: Forgot to ask if one of my chimeras being able to talk a little. If he can`t, then that whole coversation was through telekenisis. lol

[Wolfsong]

Josh patted the dog's head. "He looks pretty swell. Dogs in general are awesome, aren't they? Except maybe poodles. Do you suppose he's a mutt or what?"

"He's probably a stray. That's not a real collar." Joey said. "It's a flea collar, I think." He said to the dog, "hey, wanna fetch."
The dog sat up and barked.

[Wolfsong]

Josh grinned. "At least he seems friendly." he lept up at Joey's words. "Throw it as far as you can, Joey!"

[Arya Raiin]

In the gloomy room...

"How... no..." Kitty said under her breath. The whirring of the computers had lulled her to a fitful sleep. A beam of light shifted across the room The door had been opened. A small, fuzzy creature rolled into the room. It sat there hesitantly, its single bloodshot eye examining the room. Its gaze rested on kitty. Blinking with a wet snick, it rolled closer. Kitty was whimpering in her sleep, her lips moving with silent pleas. Curious, the little ball of fuzz came closer until it found itself on the desk, face to face with its mistress. With a jerk and a desperate cry, Kitty awoke. "Nyaaa!" She swatted at her visitor, bouncing it across the room. She sat there for a moment, ears flat to her head in fear. Kitty gave an exasperated huff. "Don`t sit in front of me like that!" Fuzz rolled its eye which changed to a shade of angry red. His mistriss had a dark past, every Creation knew that. After all, she was a `monster`just like them, altered by her father. Kitty walked over, picked up Fuzz, and put him on the counter as she continued to pour over Top Dog`s genetic profile, occasionally growling with anger.

OOC: Felt like writing more. lol

The dog said, "Yeah, come on. Let's see what you can do." Then he realized what he just did. "oops."

[Wolfsong]

Josh froze. Slowly, he took another good look at the dog.
"Joey...did that...dog, just talk?"

Joey nodded. "Do you see Rod Serling around?" he asked. "Or RL Stine?"
The dog realized he couldn't back out of this. "Yes, I talked. I'm a scientific experiment gone awry and I need help. Or at least food."

[Wolfsong]

Josh stared. "Gosh, this is like the movies. Um...sure, I guess we could get food, at least." He glanced at Joey. "I think there's some leftover hamburgers at my house. Think that could do?"

[rocklobster]

The dog bobbed his head up and down and barked. "Um, if you have parents, could you keep the whole 'talking dog' a secret?" he asked sheepishly.

[Wolfsong]

Joshua grinned. "Sure, I can keep secrets. I'll run and get the burger." and with that, he climbed back over the fence.
He entered the house quietly, glancing about, grinning to himself. "Joshua, the secret ninja on the top secret mission, is on the job. House is quiet, not a sound..."
"JOSHUA!"
He winced. "Yes mom?"
"Don't slam the door on your way out this time. You threw it so hard, it knocked this mirror down. Thank heaven it didn't break."
He winced again and answered in a more subdued tone. "Yes mom." Quickly, he grabbed the leftover burger and left, closing the door much more carefully behind him, and climbed the fence again.
"Here ya go!" he laughed cheerfully.

Joey laughed as he overheard Josh's mom. "Worst ninja ever, Josh."
The dog happily gobbled up the burger.
"So, do you have a home?" Joey asked.
"No." the dog said. "This isn't a real collar."

[Wolfsong]

Josh grinned ruefully at Joey, then listened to what the dog said.
"Where are you from then?"

"Uh, I'm not really sure." the dog said. "Last I remember is escaping from a lab."

OOC: Let me know if you want me to attack soon.

"Why did they make clicking keyboards?!" Kitty huffed as she furiously typed away on the keyboard, creating a storm of clicks and taps. It was a rehtorical question of course. After all, only two of the lab creations could talk. Spottabby and that pesky Top Dog. She could remember that day vividly. Kitty had stayed up for two days, attempting to find the Cure. Then, the wail of loss and sorrow that escaped her throat as her hope litterally ran away, dodging traps and alarms along the way. Kitty ground the bones in her hand. Why were things so difficult? With a sigh, Kitty patted her beret and kept tapping away, losing herself in her work. She would get Top Dog back.

Karen was fussing over her homework. (She was a freshman in college.) Math was her least favorite subject and she was stuck on her second to last question. "Now should I square this?" she couldn't know. She decided to take a break. Since she still lived at home (OCC right?) she decided to check on her little brother. "Joey! You playing ball again! You mind if I join for a little while!"

"Uh-oh. Karen must be done with her homework." Joey said. "Better keep quiet." he whispered to the dog.
"Um, sure. We're going to be calling the game in about five minutes, though. The newest episode of Adventure Time is coming on."
OOC: Could you notice the dog, Adri? Oh and Arya, I was thinking you could have your chimera come on the next day. We'll make it a weekend so Joey and Josh won't have to worry about school.

Joshua quickly chimed in. "Yeah, shouldn't be a problem." He glanced at Top Dog and hoped he would keep quiet, and not slip like he had with them.

Karen came out and noticed the mutt. "Aw, look at him! Isn't he just a cutie?" she scratched under his chin.

Joey said. "We found him around the fence. That's just a flea collar, but I don't think he has a home."
The dog jumped up and tried to get Karen's attention. She seems nice. he thought.

"Oh, my! Excited little fellow, isn't he?," she scrathed his ears a little harder. "Aw, you just love meeting new people don't you, boy?"

[Wolfsong]

Josh grinned. "Yeah, he's a really cool dog." He grabbed the baseball and tossed it into the air, catching it with his other hand. "Hey Karen, wanna see my fastball? Bet you still can't hit it!"
