To be fair, Chihayafuru has as much to do with Card Games as Library Wars has to do with warfare.

Not sure what you're trying to imply about what I said, but your comparison here is a bit off anyway. Library Wars is set against the backdrop of the library war using it largely as a catalyst for the development of relationships. But Chihayafuru is just as much about the relationship with the game each character has as the relationships they have with each other.

I meant that the Card Games for just really a tool for exploring the relationships and the series is really just about the characters interacting with each other and about them learning the game. And there is romance and light situations and fluff all over the place, to the point the game is overshadowed by them. I watched it for the characters and not the games.

I thought this day would never come, since there was very little hope of a second season due to low DVD sales and stuff. T_T

Looks like Shinobu Ohtaka's Magi manga is getting a TV anime! There have been rumors about this flying around for quite a while so it is not unexpected, but still exciting. It is one of my favorite currently running shounen manga, so I'm pretty happy about this.

Here is the Teaser for the Upcoming Movie:

Nerawareta Gakuen.

Which will be animated by Sunrise Studios and will be directed by Nakamura Ryousuke. Who was the Director of Mouryou no Hako and was the Assistant Director of the anime Monster and directed the last two episodes of the Aoi Bungaku Series.

The Novel from which it is adapted from was created by Mayumura Taku.

Personally, I am looking forward to it.

Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic PV
I'm glad this was finally announced after hinting at it for half a year. And it gets the coveted Sunday 5 PM Nichigo slot after Gundam AGE ends too. I think there had been some speculation that either Zetsuen no Tempest (the next Bones shonen adaptation, from the Spiral author) or Kamijyo's Code:Breaker might get it instead. Magi's a favorite of mine, so I'm pleasantly surprised. Don't let me down, A-1 Pictures.

And I like how they used the Mor beating up a tiger scene in the teaser. Morgiana's awesomeness is a good way to get people's attention.

Wrong thread, rock. That would probably be better put in the licenses thread. This thread is for new anime getting announced to be made.

Oh, and speaking of which, Fuse (the movie I'm third most excited about this year, after Wolf Kiddies and Library War) got cast announcements today.
