Guilty Crown may be the most baffling show I've ever seen. I complained about how pointless and dumb everything got in the second half of Jyu Oh Sei, but that is like, a work of art compared to how terrible Guilty Crown is. I, uh, what?

The only good thing about episode 16 was getting to see Shu punched in the face.

Haha, I have to say that's a great description of how things went with Geass 2 for the first half (perhaps over a half) of the series. The series redeemed itself on my eyes on the latter half, though.

Funnily enough, it's NOW that I start feeling curious about Guilty Crown if only for the catastrophic self-immolation :P

Guilty Crown manages to have even dumber writing than Code Geass, but rather than making some entertainment of how dumb it is, is just dumb to a degree where you are so surprised that it could be that dumb that you have to see how dumb it will become.

Maybe I should add a few more dumbs to that sentence.

Guilty Crown: THERE'S STILL. NO. PLOT.

Geass on the other hand is epic because it's a FABULOUS trainwreck.

There are a lot of criticisms to be made of Guilty Crown, but not having a plot isn't one of them. Guilty Crown most certainly has a plot. Whether it's coherent or not is another question.

I have a less kind opinion of the entirety of Geass R2, which I do think is comparable to Guilty Crown.

And Black Rock Shooter TV too, I guess, while we're at it.

Is it just me or does Black Rock Shooter look really shoddy? :unsure: Art-wise, not necessarily animation-wise. (I am watching a rather low-quality stream though, but still...)

*edits again* :6: Guilty Crown -- Shu was cool for like...the second half of episode 14 and the first...5 or so minutes of episode 15. Now I'm expecting him to be even worse than before. Ugh.

OK, so those Guilty Crown guys are just messing with us now. I think this might be the worst thing I've ever seen. Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals wasn't as irritating, Fractale had its enjoyable moments, and Love Hina occasionally made me smile. Rather than being flawed or just not seeing its own problems, it seems like Guilty Crown is going out of its way to make me hate it.

Guilty Crown is managing to fail pretty epically at being likable. I enjoy it more than Fractale and No. 6. But...so far it's in yelling-at-to-relieve-stress category of my shows.

The real question is which is more detestable - Guilty Crown or Macross Zero?

@MightyMidget

As meh as Numbah Seeks was, it never sent me into a flying rage like GC. In fairness, it should be noted that shounen-ai subtext has long since ceased to affect me (thanks Sengoku Basara), so I can see how 6 would lose more points for some.

@Hats

While it's true that Macross Zero was disappointing and head-shake-worthy, it didn't make me mad. At least, I don't remember being as mad as I am about GC. Plus Zero's start was much better than GC's. For one and a bit episodes, I thought Zero was going to be pretty good, but then: bird people and magic rocks.

Ano Natsu is getting really good. Here is something that's about as template in anime as you can get, but is executed excellently and also still manages to occasionally surprise.

Yeah, I just finished episode 7 and it was pretty great. While I don't think it's quite caught me the way AnoHana did, it's a pretty good show and I want to see Toradora! now.
