I like it better already. I get the impression that they're doing a lot more to tie this movie into potential sequels as a sequential story. I also like that they showed a bit more of the playful, wise-cracking Peter Parker (and none of this, "It's you who's out, Gobby! Out of his mind!" Ummm... burn? I guess...?). I can already feel more personality and fun with this guy. With Maguire, sometimes the blandness just leapt out the screen at you.

Spider-man wasn't supposed to be making puns, just witty wise-cracks. This humor he shows stays more true to the type he told in the comics.

The trailer itself makes the film look really great. The only thing I fear is the endless sub-plots. As long as it ties in well together, then I don't really mind.
