Once Eulalia and Chrysanthe both finished their meal, the innkeeper getsured for them to follow her to their rooms. Eulalia and Chrysanthe complied and stood up from where they had been sitting and started following her.
"You two will be sharing a room, if that is all right," she said.
"I don't mind at all," Chrysanthe replied with a smile. Eulalia simply shrugged her shoulders as a sign that it didn't matter eaither way to her. She was, oddly enough, not in the mood to object. But as they were walking to their room, she noticed the room that Joanne and her family were staying.
Their room is huge! Am I not deserving enough to have one just as big? Eulalia thought with jealousy, a slight scowl making its way onto her face. Chrysanthe seemed to notice Eulalia's attitude.
"Hm? What's wrong?" She asked as they walked into their room, the innkeeper leaving them to get situated. Eulalia just shook her head, signaling that it was nothing.
"Nothing's wrong. Just tired," she replied. Her hand found its way to her cheek where she had been cut and sighed. The blood around the cut had dried. Gross. Eulalia thought before walking over to a wash basin in the room. Using a cloth that was beside it, she dampened it and wiped the dry blood from the cut.
"That won't get infected, will it?" Chrysanthe asked with slight concern as she sat down on the bottom bunk. She sighed in comfort. She couldn't remember the last time she slept on a real bed.
"If it does, it does," Eulalia replied monotonously. She was still jealous of the size of the room that Joanne and her family got. She knew it was wrong to be jealous, but she couldn't help it right now. Was she not as important as them?
