Hehe...well it should all be explained in the future if you can wait that long. ;) And Richard Cox is going to be in Troy...iiiiinteresting. I might just have to see it in order to put a voice with a face. LOL.

Hikage Ninja wrote:A lot of the series on Cartoon Network uses many of the same american voice actors... From the...part of one episode I saw of Big O, I'm pretty sure the voice of...Roger, right...was the same as Spike from Cowboy Bebop. And then...I think I was told that the voice actor of Inuyasha (Richard Cox...or something) also did another character for some anime on Toonami or something... So I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Wolf's Rain voice actors were the same for WHR.

Yeah, Roger Smith and Spike are both played by David Lucas.
Vash and Kiba are voiced by the same person (as Spirit Wolf said), he is Steve Kramer I believe.
Kagome/Laura is, I believe, Moneca Stori (sp?)
Kouga/Duo Maxwell is Scott McNeil, who also plays Wolverine in X-men Evolution.

I noticed something interesting about voice actors though. Some actors I have noticed seem to stick with one company. I've noticed this since I got the Anime Network (which is owned by ADV, which explains the abundance of ADV programming available) On Demand through Comcast. ADV uses the same basic pool of actors for a huge number of animes (and the same studio, Industrial Smoke and Mirrors). I guess that's understandable, because the actors available are really limited to those who live close to the ISM recording studio. I wonder if the same is true for the other companies who do english dubs for anime (Animaze, FUNimation, etc.) and just generally for all recording studios that do voice-over work?

Anyway, back on topic now...
Wolf's rain looks really good, although I guess I missed eps 1 and 4. And as somebody said already, the ending theme "Gravity" is just awesome (Go Yoko Kanno!). Thanks for clearing up that the "spell" only changes appearances, not actual forms. That was pretty confusing. Looking forward to the rest of it, but 22 more weeks just to finish it means I know I'm gonna miss more eps down the line.

Yeah, my mistake. Sorry! :red:

*Sigh* I hate being out of the loop, but I guess I can wait... I'm glad they only play the show on Saturdays though, 'cause I can't catch them that late on school nights.

I'm bringing this thread back because I don't feel like making a new one.

I'm thinking about buying this series on DVD, but my mother would have a cow if there turned out to be a bunch of sex or nudity in it. So Pantakrator, you've seen the entire thing, would you mind telling me if there is any of that stuff in it? And if there is, how much, is it big or minor... The violence doesn't really bother her, as long as it isn't REALLY horrible...

So would you mind enlightening me a little?

Look at it, you'll be glad you did!

Sure. ^^
Wolf's Rain has mild sensuality in it, and the violence.... can be a bit much at times, but I've seen worse. I think your mother would be okay with it.

Well... No, there is no sex. There is a character who is completely nude, but nothing is show due to her hair. There is an implied hooker. Again nothing shown, in fact, nothing even happens with her. Xesian's (?) outfit is... Overall though, as you're 16, I think you'll be fine. As to innuendo though, I wouldn't know since I didn't watch the R1 series. Hope that helps! :thumb:

Edit- If your Mom wants, just PM me and I'll send you screens of the "worst" parts. Later!

I think its getting better! Yea sometimes the nobles can be a bit much with their uneeded innuendo/ sensuality images . . . but the story overall is reat! (and there hasnt been that much bad anyway . . .) yea and there is alot of blood . . . -_-
But this show is good! I like Toboe! ^^ and poor Blue! -_-

I've only seen the beginning of one episode...I made a mistake when I was recording a show...probably Trigun, but I can't remember...
It looked like it was halfway through the plot, though, so I didn't know what was going on...:P
