Of course, this is the same guy who said that Final Fantasy 7 was boring and exactly the same as Final Fantasy 6 (which was known as 3 in those years), that if you don't buy Donkey Kong Country "YOU ARE STUPID," said Goldeneye was literally impossible and a terrible game and that no one buys games for multiplayer, and that Symphony of the Night was disappointing and not as good as Crash Bandicoot 2.

Sounds like that guy needs to play Final Fantasy XIII. ;)

In terms of games, I recently got Assassin's Creed 2 for the PS3. Running over rooftops is surprisingly fun. =) I've been continuing my Pokemon Black playthrough, and I also started a new Mass Effect 2 playthrough. I forgot how much I liked that game. XD Playing it is making me really hyped for the third one.

Recently got out the Super Famicom and replayed about the first half of Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana) with a friend. The gameplay is much, much better with a second player, but the game didn't capture my attention quite as much the second time around. Flaws that other people have pointed out have come to my attention, so that's part of the reason. It's still better than any other Seiken Densetsu game I've played, though.

I am playing Portal 2 as we speak! This is one of the best games ever! I love it!!!

Haha! No kidding! I love all the graphics (I thought I'd never say that about a game). I'd be playing it now myself but I'm stuck on one of the puzzles. You see, my brother and I are kinda loosely salving the main story mode together.

Well, speaking of Xenogears, I finished it! The last battles were pretty grueling, and the cinematics at the end were just...laughable. Man, that lip synch is probably the worst I've ever seen. It's like they weren't even trying....

Other than that, the only game I've really been playing is Elite Beat Agents. I can't do "Jumpin' Jack Flash" anymore.... :waah!:

Finished the single player on Portal 2 last night. My sister and I beat the co-op for it some days ago. It's awesome. Every bit as good as the original, if not better.

I am currently playing FF VII(Never had it or beaten it before. Borrowed it from a friend).

Also playing Arcana Heart. It's basically a fighting game with each of the characters being an anime girl steroetype. It's surprisingly good.

So I wasn't going to buy Final Fantasy IV for PSP. Because I've already played it on countless other systems.

And then I watched the Giant Bomb Quick Look. And they were like "It has a new story thing called Interlude that takes place between the games" and I was like "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF NEW CONTENT NOW I HAVE TO BUY IT."

So I bought it. And I'm playing it. Freaking Square-Enix. But yeah, it's...well, it's Final Fantasy IV. The new graphics are okay I guess. The "arranged" music sounds pretty much like the original stuff, which is fine. The enemy encounter rate is really bizarre though. I was in the desert, trying to get into fights to level up Rydia...and I walked around for literally two or three minutes, and not a single fight. And then, when I was hurting and needed to get back to town, I was running into fights every two steps. It's like the game senses when you want to get into fights and shuts off random encounters, and then when you don't want fights, it cranks up the rate. SQUARE ARE YOU PUTTING MIND-READING TECHNOLOGY IN YOUR GAMES TO TROLL US?

I finished Portal 2 last week sometime and on the way realised, once again, why I don’t play computer games; I am generally bad at them, get impatient and frustrated easily and can’t maintain the (non)sleeping pattern needed to finish one.

So this is probably the first and last time I post in this thread, for a very long while at least.

I've played some Elite Beat Agents off and on lately.

I'm almost at the end of Chrono Trigger! I'm just gonna wrap up a sidequest, and then go on to fight Lavos - without Chrono  I'm hoping to finish it in the next few days, because I'm expecting a new DS game in the mail soon

I've also "started" Metal Gear Solid - I say "started" because I basically just watched the opening cutscene and fiddled with configs and controls and stuff. Because I really need to watch that cutscene again to understand what's going on.

[quote="GeneD (post: 1476601)"]I finished Portal 2 last week sometime and on the way realised, once again, why I don’t play computer games]

Gene, I just wanted to say, if you want a good game that wont get you frustrated easily and is so relaxing it could actually put you to sleep as well as is so fun you don't realize your developing skill for it until like the very end of the first game; I recommend the .Hack games for PS2. These games are incredible! Seriously! And so therapeutic!

Ah man! I didn't post when I beat Portal 2. That totally stinks. Anyway, beat it just a few days after PSN went down. Oh man I loved the ending! So beautiful! So now that I've beat it, i'm going to wait for PSN to come back up before I do the multiplayer campaign or go back to Tron (I know I should be leveling my character but I'm too lazy to do it). Also, I started up playing .Hack/Mutation again after a short hiatus.

I beat Chrono Trigger, giving me the second ending, which might be the worst out of all thirteen XD

And I really started Metal Gear Solid this time; seems fun so far.

I also started Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, and am totally in love. Why did they have to go out of business?! :waah!:

in between watching Bleach and getting stuff done around the house my husband and I are working through the co-op in Portal 2.
We also play a lot of match-making in Halo: Reach.
I personally love to play Dance Central for the xbox360 Kinect. I use it as my workout.
I've already unlocked everything so I guess I beat the game but I still just dance to it and I really enjoy that.

Picked up L.A. Noire yesterday. When I played Red Dead Redemption (after putting it off for a long time), I was surprised and delighted to see that Rockstar had for once gotten away from the sophomoric mindless violence and private parts humor of its flagship Grand Theft Cash Cow franchise. L.A. Noire is a step even further away from the old formula. Several steps in fact, which as far as I'm concerned are several steps in the right direction.
