Rain - very short story

Postby blueraven » Thu May 13, 2004 10:56 am

Started writing around 9PM May 12th and finished around 12AM. Computer froze before any of it could be saved. Managed to copy the last three paragraphs down. Trying to remember from memory *slaps self* How else would I remember. Rewritten within an hour. Little spell check but nothing done about grammer

Rain
K. Fritz

He heard her whisper.

“I’ll never leave you. I’ll always be with you. Forever.â€
"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

:sniffle: That is so sad! It reminds me of that Weiss Kreuz song, Beautiful Alone. But then again, most things remind me of that song. It's my favorite.
Think happy thoughts.

I went and looked up the lyrics for that song. Lovely - I really like that.

It is a bit sad I know. I'm only use to writing crazy fantasy/adventure stories. This is a bit closer to my poetry side. Sad and at times a bit depressive but with still some symbol of hope. When I was writing it the first time lastnight I was actualy crying. Something I never do when writing fiction.
