What everyone's been dying to know...

Talk about anything in here.

Are there more Californians or Texans?

The closest I'll get to touching that is this:

Have you ever looked at who RUNS for office? It's not really surprising that we elect the caliber of induhvidule we do. :)

(And why do doctor's call what they do PRACTICE? Sorry, that sorta came out of left field...)

i have always said that polotics and religion should never be discussed in two places; the dinner table, and chat rooms/forums (unless specifically designed for such purposes) so i politley, with utmost respect blah blah blah decline to respond with a political theme etc, etc, etc.

how's that for a disclamer? speaking of which, at my graduation all of our valedictorians spoke and one of the girl's message came from the psalms and she prayed after her speech. because of this our principle had to give a little disclaimer ie "the opinions of these valedictorian speeches do not reflect those of this school district blah blah blah"- i realized how low our society had gotten when we have to give disclaimers at graduation.
Lord, I don't know where this is going,
Or how this all works out
Lead me to peace that is past understanding
A peace beyond all doubt

Generally in politics I look at both candidates and decide which one has fewer things I dislike. Because you're completely right- the field of politics isn't exactly filled with upstanding Christian examples.

Replying to old phil here and completely ignoring the political arena, I know! No other field would we congratulate someone for being out of practice (i.e. retirement)....I KNEW there was a reason I hated doctors, and I think you just nailed in Phil.

Well, and mom's a nurse, so I've heard of all kinds of jerk doctor stories. ^^

Considering this thread is about California and Texans, we should probably drop the political references for now. That's how threads get closed. (I should know). :Do'h!:

Speaking of :Do'h!:, we should have a forehead smacking smily... ;)

heh heh heh. Not to bad for a first try at an animated gif, if I do say so myself. Should we add this to CAA's available options?

I think it's pretty good. Talk to the DJ about adding it. We do have an empty spot.

Or maybe that's an invisible smiley ....

Remember there are more than 2, but i suppose you want to go with a democrat or republican for strategic reasons...

Yeah, I think it takes a little too much comprimise of my standards for me to ever be able to take up a job in politics, but then again, I need to make sure I don't comprimise my standards in EVERY DAY issues before I try something big like that anyhow...

Sidenote: There aren't many Kentuckians on this forum. That's sad. Oh, and Montana too, and Wisconson, Alabama, Tennessee, &c.
