some songs

Postby Hitokiri » Tue May 11, 2004 7:03 pm

This thread is actually a place to keep my songs stored and for you guys to enjoy. Sorry if some of them are....depressing. In truth Im a depressing person so they have alot of meaning behind them.

Keep in mind that the type of music this fits in with his the loud screaming stuff (ex. Demon Hunter, Norma Jean, Haste the Day, Dead Poetic). I encorporate both the loud gruffs and aggressive vocals found in Demon Hunter and the loud screechy screaming found in Dead Poetic, Haste the Day, and Norma Jean. I also incorporate the melodic stuff found in all those bands so when reading my lyrics keep in that in mind.

------------------------

Agony followed by Grace - The Floorboards to My Heart

Cutting off at the point of disgrace.
Keeping in touch of whats real and whats just a hoax.
Destroying what the foundations set for me.
If I can't stand who will fight?

And someday, we might live better
But for now we will dig our graves.
If we start to try and get up
We will fall and hit our heads.

Taking up....tearing down...

Chrous
We will die together.
We will die forever.
We will live in You.
Take my life
and make it out of somehting.

Taking the broken knife in my hand.
Running away from the pain that Ive brought on myself.
Ignoring the truth You provided for me.
If I can't speak who will live?

And someday, we might die forever.
But for now we will live for You.
Broken by this world
But we will fight anon!

Taking up....tearing down...

Chrous x2

I care bout nothing..
Selfish diginity clouding my mind.
Tearing up the floorboards that surround my heart.
Only to be sealed again.

Broken by the stare you give me.
Feeling this sense of grace, if it real?
Tearing the floorboards of my heart
And living deep inside of me.

Chorus

---------

The end, tell me what you think. If you guys want, try to figured out what I mean by this song.

Me and my friends might actually publish some of my songs.

k heres one I wrote...i like this one

Only to the Forsaken

Im confused
Confused at this chaos that’s all around me.
I’m dying.
Day by day I can feel me bleeding away.
I told you I’d come home.
But everyday I see you standing alone.
I told you I’d be here.
But everyday I help wipe away your tear.

It’s the downward fall that’s breaking heart.
If only you’d catch me before the fall.
Standing silently and watching me go
And all you did was stare.

Chorus
Somebody said you’d let go.
Somebody said you’d shine through.
Somebody said you’d be here.
Well I’m bout to let go.

I’m distorted
From this new pain that crawls under my skin
I’m craving
For something more than what the world tells me
I told you I’d come home
But everyday I see you standing alone
I told you I’d be here
But everyday I help wipe away your tear.

It’s the downward fall that’s breaking my heart.
If only you’d catch me before the fall.
Standing silently and watching me go.
And all you did was stare.

Stumbling in this blinding darkness
Only to see an unattainable light.
Savoring the grace given to me.
Standing firm and I faint.

Chorus x2

If we go, will you be here to see us off
If we stand alone, would you suffer the pain set upon us
If we die, will you be there dig our graves.
If we turn way, would you be there to draw us back.

Something different bout this one if me and my friends would record it is the chorus would be layered with lots of voices.

Here's the list I'd like to have sing the chorus:
- High Pitched Screaming (me)
- High Pitched Screaming 2 (toss up...whoever wants to do it)
- low gruff screming (me)
- melodic style singing (me)
- melodic voice 2 (toss up...whoever wnats to do it)
- melodic girls voice (toss up...whoever wants to do it

See, I havnt set in stone yet. What I thought would be cool at the part where it says "Shine through". All music and vocies will stop, the melodic voices will just sing that part.

So we would layer each voice to create the chorus. Tell me what you think.

You're a good songwriter! ^^x
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

[Pink Floyd fan listening to Queen and hugging trees which is also known as taking care of God's creation with a pair of headphones on listening to Nightwish as loud as possible while writing a novel on a computer in the middle of a field filled with Wolves.]

[Bassist...finally learning Money]
