First version? Meaning there's a second version? Hmmm, I wonder which one I own.

Right now,
Alice the 19th,
Fruits Basket *smile! Sorry, I just have to smile when I think about Fruits Basket*
Mink,
and something else-- can't quite remember.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

And the reality
Between the motion
And the act

Life is very long

Between the desire
And the spasm
Between the potency
And the existence
Between the essence
And the descent

Mai, I hate to take away half of your posts, but I am going to merge the two you have made in this forum. For future reference, the Edit function is quite useful for adding things that you forgot or correcting errors you may have made. I use it often. Glad to have you with us, by the by, beginning a thread in the Welcome Forum would probably net you the best results.

On the topic, I am now officially reading Hunter x Hunter... currently looking for the fourteenth volume.

How do you like this compared to Yu Yu Hakusho?

I was reading this as well a short time back. I got up to somewhere in Volume 6, I think.
I'll start back up on this pretty soon.

About even. I do not like the characters as well overall, but the combat is generally better. As was mentioned, the combat explanations are extremely detailed and specific. I am keeping up with them, but only barely. If you made a list as you read I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult, however.

One thing that is annoying is the method in which it falls victim to the DBZ power issue. You can only break through to a new level of power so many times before opponents shouldn't be able to be all powerful. Another annoying thing is the high body count in the manga. Everyone dies. People die all over the place. If you've read to volume 6 you understand, but it just continues.

Looking for volume 17 now, by the by...

I only now noticed that we have two manga threads. Seeing as duplicates are quite unnecessary, I'll lock this one. The larger thread can be found here:
