(that being Little Big Planet)

LBP is best if you know how to navigate the user levels. It took me a while to realize exactly how to do it, but you can find some amazing stuff if you know what to look for. With 2,000,000 user made levels, it can be difficult to find exactly what you want, though.

LBP2 promises to be 100x better, though now comes the task of sorting through the levels that don't work anymore because they relied on glitches that have been fixed... Hopefully there are people that will report those levels and get them off the list on LBP2.

Here's a good trailer, though not the best example of new tools. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs0T5l24JL0&feature=related

I started Cave STory over again, right as I got to the doctor, because I found out I let some people die who shouldn't have. I'm trying to FIRSTLY get the best items and SECONDLY not kill off people who don't need to die.

There's also the fact that I constantly came within 1/5 of the life bar left on the core, and died... 4 boss battles in a row is a bit much when the game never even had 2 in a row before that.

Since I'm holding off replaying ME2 so I'm not in the middle of it when Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 get here and have to make a sadistic choice between one or the other, I decided to play a shorter game, so I started Republic Commando for a second time.

Well, I'm still on the first disk of Xenogears, though I saw a heapin' bundle of cutscenes (awesome plot twists!), so I'm probably just a few steps away from the second disk and will feel stupid for stopping when I did.

My sisters have also gotten me back into playing The Sims 2. Ah, good old times! It's not quite as nostalgic as the first Sims, but it's close enough. I'm trying to bring just one family through their lives "the real way". So far, so good - my couple have met and gotten married! Now they just have to save up enough money to get the house I've got my eye on.

I also picked up Jak II again and remembered why I stopped my third play-through :shady: There was this really annoying sewer escort level that took me forever to get through; they didn't even give me any health and there were hordes of Metal Heads everywhere! But I did get past it; now I'm going to blow up the Dig Site. Titan Suit is fun!

Except that 99% of the ones taken down were put right back up. Old news is old, and just as wrong.

Levels that are reported too often automatically get taken down, but only to be reviewed, then they're put right back up provided there's not, like, porn in them.

As for the topic at hand,

I'm playing too much to keep track of. I have severe ADD and can't seem to stick to anything. I was most recently working on FF5 again. Seeing if I could beat Exdeath this time... If I get that far any time in the next few months... Again, ADD

I'm still doing side quests in Dragon Quest IX and I'm at the last area in Final Fantasy IX.

Today I picked up Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

I'm a couple hours into the game and like it so far. The battle system offers a lot of customization. A lot of music is reused from previous games in the series, but there's plenty of new music as well. The voice acting is kind of a mixed bag, but I'll get used to it.

Because of my brother buying Other M (which I hate) I have been on a Metroid kick, so I popped in my Metroid Prime Trilogy disc which I bought ages ago but never did much with. So little that my game slot was me having only played Metroid Prime 1 with a save file at the first save point in the game.

I complained about Prime 3's Wii controls when I played it, and this game is just the originals with Prime 3's controls and some other changes to make it more like the PAL version (such as new Pirate Logs in Prime 1 that fix the massive plot hole in the first game).

For some reason though, I kinda like them now. I don't mind them. Well, sort of. See, Prime 3 had stackable beam weapons. The first two games don't, and switching beams mid-fight is not as smooth and fast as it was on the Gamecube versions. Also, looking up and down is sometimes a bit of a hassle...I don't remember this being a problem in Prime 3 though. Maybe that game didn't make you look up or down as much as the first two games did? I dunno.

Anyway beat Prime 1 and I'm playing 2 at the moment, just got the Dark Beam.

Also I'm a bit annoyed at this stupid "Friend Voucher" thing which they implemented. Though I haven't started Prime 3 yet, out of curiosity, anyone here have the game so I can get some Friend Credits from you when I do?

Getting close to the end of Jak II! I'm in the last mission with Sig - whose character I love, by the way.

I've also jumped into Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and am reminded why I love these games so much. Some puzzles just make me go :eh: , of course, but usually when I figure out what to do...it just feels so wonderful ^_^ And the story and the artwork and the music!!!! I'm also having an interesting experience, because my sisters were given the second game by mistake, so now I finally get to see who all these characters are who popped up again in the second one. Just met Officer Chelmey; nice to see a familiar face.

Just finished up Prime 2 on my Trilogy disc, so now it's off to 3. Which has already started to irritate me with the very first minigame where you have to juggle a drone in the air. Well okay, the minigame isn't necessary to proceed, but if you do it 20 times you get something...and I'm stuck at 18. I just can't get any higher than that. :\

Also I'm guessing either nobody here owns Trilogy, or if they do they're not reading this thread. That sucks, because I REALLY need someone to exchange Friend Vouchers with. -.- God I hate that stupid Friend Voucher crap.

I've been playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. The puzzles are so frustrating at times, but then I'm almost sad after I've solved them. XD Also, I finally found the Great Fairy that gives you the Nayru's Love spell! I've been searching forever! XD

I have surprisingly been sticking to FFV, but I think I've hit a snag... I've depended on my monk abilities too much, and I've gotten to the point where it would probably be better to get weapons, but now I'm afraid to take the leap.

I found Shadow of the Colossus at the local game store today and picked it up; two colossi down, 14 to go. So far, I've enjoyed the game; the colossus fights are about as stunning as a fight with a hundred-foot-tall bull/bear should be, and the graphics still hold up reasonably well. It's a bit more dialogue-heavy than I was led to believe it would be by what I had read about it, but that's a relatively minor quibble. What I've played of it so far has raised my expectations about what's to come.

And I've done a bit more of Sims 2 and Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Both are so fun! ^_^

Oh, and got farther in Xenogears - KYAAAWOAHWOW I LOVE THIS!!!!!

As my dreamcast is dead, I'm really looking forward to Dreamcast games hitting the PS3, starting with Sonic Adventure next week (already hit the 360 this week)

I'm currently playing "Hat Quest", a hack of Earthbound by the creators of PK Hack. It turns it from RPG to adventure game, and... it's confusing as heck at a couple points (like all good adventure games are). I'm not sure what I'm expected to do to get a room at the hotel. Thing is, I beat it before but can't remember what to do for the life of me, and I searched desperately for a walkthrough, and never found one. Discovered I'd been using an incomplete version of the hack the last time I played, and I'm not sure if that's the case again.

Well, I finished Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. I really enjoyed the gameplay. Lots of customizable moves/skills to try out and synthesize (or meld, whatever they call it here).
Each character played differently so playing through the same worlds three times wasn't so bad.

Then we come to the story...Yeah. I do actually really like the Kingdom Hearts series, but the story has been going slowly downhill after the first game. Namely in the second game, instead of gradually revealing the answers to certain mysteries/questions the game just dumps a huge amount of information on you and things aren't anymore clear than they were before. This game pretty much does that. Things start off fine, but by the end of the game you're watching events happen and given no explanation as to why these things are happening. And again you're left with more questions than answers.

Like I said earlier, I had fun playing the game and the cutscenes looked nice, but the plot lost coherency as the game went along.

Maybe if I complete the game 100 percent with all of the characters and unlock the secret video everything will make sense...

And to top it off, LittleBigPlanet 2 has been delayed until January. :(
But as long as the developer is working to make the game better than it already appears and fix any problems within it, I'm okay with that.
