Granted. Dragon Quest IX is now a game about a pothead dragon, who can smoke regular pot or "alchemy pot". The latter respawns faster than the former, but most people don't care because it's the sort of game that's only amusing to people who are under the influence of large amounts of actual pot.

Granted. All the good ones cease to exist as well. Unfortunately, this leaves a huge vacuum, which is quickly filled with quickly-written drivel, horrible amateur movies, and spam/scam websites, because all of these are quickly produced and quality takes time.
