Well, I can't imagine that he would have had more than a couple of minutes of screentime. When it comes to stories about The Avengers, it's typical for The Hulk to be around a lot more than Bruce Banner.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

WHAT? BS I SAY. :l

Seriously Ed Norton was so good as Bruce Banner. I'm sure it's just about the money. It has to be. They're going to pull the "Oh we need someone who can work well with others" card? OH SO ED NORTON HAS NEVER WORKED WITH ANYONE IN A MOVIE BEFORE IS THAT IT?

Honestly Ed Norton is a great man in addition to be a great actor, and it's sad to see him shafted over what can ONLY be money reasons. :\

Sorry Nate, but Ed Norton has never worked with anybody as big as, say, Brad Pitt, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, or Richard Geer. Pssh.

Oh yeah, IchiTone told me about that the other day. Ed Norton is one of my favorite actors. I loved him in The Incredible Hulk. Goodness knows he beat the pants off Eric Bana, but then Hulk was rubbish anydanghow. He totally got ripped off here. But at least he took it with grace and dignity. Publicly at least, he's not a jerk about it.

They should have Mel Gibson play as the Hulk.

Mark Ruffalo in Talks to Play Hulk in 'Avengers'?

MSN wrote:The actor would replace Ed Norton in Marvel's superhero team movie

TheWrap.com

You don't want to make Baby Brando angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.

That's right, Mark Ruffalo is in "late-stage discussions" with Marvel to play The Incredible Hulk in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers," reports Deadline.

However, I'm not sure what "late-stage" means to Deadline, as an individual familiar with the casting process tells TheWrap that while Marvel has offered Ruffalo the role, negotiations haven't even started, and reports that his casting is imminent are entirely premature.

Should Ruffalo accept the role, he would replace Edward Norton in the superhero ensemble. Norton and Marvel ended negotiations last week for one of two reasons: money, or the fact that Norton has a reputation of being difficult to work with.

Ruffalo is one of my favorite actors and has been since the days of "Safe Men" and "You Can Count On Me." He brings a brooding intensity to his characters and that should serve him well as the Hulk.

Ruffalo is currently earning raves for his performance in Lisa Cholodenko's "The Kids Are All Right." He recently directed the award-winning Sundance film "Sympathy for Delicious," in which he also appears as a priest. Ruffalo is represented by UTA.

In other Marvel news, the studio announced that "Thor" and "Captain America" will be released in 3D. Both movies were filmed in 2D. "Thor" will undergo a traditional conversion, while the visual effects in "Captain America" will be rendered in 3D. Marvel has a lot riding on these movies, so Kevin Feige will be making sure that the conversions aren't rushed like "Clash of the Titans" and "The Last Airbender."

Yamamaya, that wouldn't work, the Hulk is supposed to be a tragic character, not a giant idiotic jerk.
