I was wondering if anynoe here played any MMORPGs, and if anyone would be willing to try one out? I've been hoping to find some Christian gamer friends to talk about games with, and play some games with. So if anyone's interested, let me know. I don't play any MMO's yet, so I'm pretty much open to anything.

Mabinogi is the only mmo I've found worth playing. The game is all about strategy when it comes to fighting rather than grinding for 4-5 hours on kookoo birds or using some god modding weapon to 1-hit ko everything.

There are no classes, you can be anything you want if you have the skills, though there are three different races [human, elf, giant] with minor advantages and disadvantages in combat as well as their own different [humans have two, dark knight and paladin] transformations.

The world itself is pretty enormous as well and is about to get even BIGGER with the new G9 update about to happen.

I highly recommend checking it out. If you do, I have a giant and human character on Mari server that could help you get started. The community is VERY friendly and pretty active. In fact, we just recently fought a rare field boss you can watch here. >:3

Also, it's free to play but requires "real life" money for pets and premium service.

Mabinogi is a really fun game, it's my first MMO and after trying a different one, this one is what I like. It's straightforward, but there's so many other things to do besides the main quests. Like, fishing, composing music, blacksmithing, and other stuff.

S'anks, and do you still play? If so, what server? I'm honestly only lvl 150-ish there, with only 3 rebirths under my belt. After you get the combat basics down, you can join in just about anything. XD

Tarlach. And trust me, I'm only level 30 total. I wish I had been luckier in picking a server, but oh well. And I've been around since open beta, but my computer crashed and I have a Mac now.

Baw, I see. I've only been on Mabi for about 2 - 3 months. Have fun with Tarlach if you return, I've heard it's a lot better than Ruairi but nothing beats Mari. >:D

I am okay with Tarlach. I'm not that disappointed, and I don't want to have to start an entirely new character just for a new server. I mean, I could, but it might be harder for me to keep up with both. And you can't send mail to characters on the same account or in a different server, so I'd be losing quite a bit of stuff. Actually, maybe it would be better to start over, and be wiser in spending AP, and occasionally go back to play on the Tarlach server.

O no no, I was just messin'. XD

Though, if you started out human, you can side with giants/elves and get an assisstant card of that race for free [GIANTS FTW]. You can always use one of those to create a Mari char but that's if you really want to play on Mari. Totally up to you, just throwin that out thar. I have two giant AND elf assistant cards so I may just end up eventually using those on Tarlach and Alexina. There's rumor of a way of "server switching" being made available in the premium shop on KR Mabi so that's also something to take into consideration.

Also, what exactly could have spent wrong in ap? owo As long as it's in combat skills it's perfectly fine. Some life skills are kinda necessary too. My giantess has to have leather straps for blacksmithing so even weaving, a skill I "wasted" ap on at first, ended up being for good. XD

I wasted some on useless skills.
I decided to remain neutral for now so I could go anywhere. I tried the Giant card but ended up deleting it, so I still have the Elf one.

The only MMO I've ever played much is Kingdom of Loathing. There's no real animations or anything, not alot of multiplayer stuff to it other than trading items/money, but it's full of random comedy and it isn't difficult to play the game and chat with people at the same time without messing anything up.

Dual wielding is pretty fun. I only use daggers for dual wielding when I get Final Hit. Otherwise, I main an upgraded crossbow, warhammer + shield for hard-hitting places, and a two-handed sword for bosses. What can I saw, I love weapons. XD;
