The violence in Elfen Lied is very unrealstic but crazily bloody.
If you can't take very heavy violence, then don't watch it, simple as that.
Although I found a few scenes a bit funny in a morbid way.

No one under 21 should watch this show, unless of course they'd like to ruin any sexual innocence they might have.
I've never watched it, but I've heard plenty about it and I've read a lot about it.
I really don't understand why some animators in Japan feel the disgusting need to create such sinfully, bloody messes for people to watch.

As violent as it was, I still think the overall message makes up for the blood and nudity (which was only in the first episode if I recall correctly) 8D
Agreed though, if you can't handle it, then by all means DO NOT watch it ^__^
