I like that style. At the very least I think it looks better than this.

But at this point we're just talking about personal preference so I guess we'll leave it at that.

Imagine if Link were always rendered with all the crap he has to carry around! He would look ridiculous!

I can say with all thruthfullness that there is not a style the games have been rendered in that I did not like. Except, perhaps, the CD games. I'm the idiot who will just keep buying the games until the end of time, though.

I was shocked that this was the first mentioning of Midna in this thread.

I really enjoyed Twilight Princess despite it taking me several months to complete (I kept getting distracted by shiny things and small tree-dwelling rodents). I played the Wii version and while the sword swinging wasn't exact I would often find myself getting into it (yes I did look as ridiculous as you just imagined).

The story was quite good and I adored every moment Midna was on the screen (best Zelda character 3v4r). I didn't really notice the things that Peanut mentioned about the bad guy, but even considering that it doesn't really bother me.

By the way, have I mentioned Midna yet? How I wish Navi held even a small portion of the personality she displayed. She was smart, strong, witty, and often berating (but in a funny way). Plus her hat is awesome. In some ways she was as awesome as Sheik was in OoT but you got to see a lot more of Midna.

*two cents given*

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot the original question. I really don't know if I would call it the best Zelda game ever made. I'm pretty partial to "bombing some dodongos" and yelling "Squadala, we're off!" myself.

Is it the first mention? I could swear that I brought her up. WW is my favorite game, but Midna is hands down my favorite character (look at my siiiiiiig!).

In other news, Destructoid had an article on why WW is the best Zelda game last night. I'll leave you to find it if you wish, because it was quite profane. But the summation of the author was that people who disagree with him need to examine their security in their own masculinity. :p

Edit: Alright, I've counted something like six separate people confessing that Midna was their favorite Zelda character.

Who's all for a Midna solo game? Tingle's getting his own and he's awful!

Midna solo? No, not really. What would you do? Though we definitely need much more Midna in the coming games.

Yeah, I do have to wonder what a Midna-only game would be like, but I do admit she was pretty rad. I'm up for more characters LIKE her, though.

Btw, thanks for the recommendation to the article on Destructoid. I read it and agree 100%, especially:
Regardless of whatever you're needlessly comparing it to, Wind Waker was gorgeous. In and of itself, Zelda or not, you can't deny that it looked great, even if you hated its styling.
Oh, and what he said about the soundtrack, which was very, VERY epic win.

Actually, a Midna-only game could work quite well. They could do a prequel to Twilight Princess or a sequel telling what happened in the Twilight world after Midna left Hyrule. I also (for some reason) think she would be better suited for a Zelda-type game then many of the other females in the Legend of Zelda world. Will this ever happen? No, probably not, but if it did and it was done well then hey, it could work very well.

Tingle's getting another one? He already had one, Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.

Also I wish I could read the article on Destructoid but for whatever reason my internet service hates Destructoid, since it never loads.

I think either they're constantly under heavy server load or they're very poorly designed, as it is always a very slow load on my machine.
