Rented inFAMOUS. It's OK, but I wouldn't buy it.

The main character bugs me. I get the impression we're supposed to feel sympathetic towards him, but I just don't. He lacks emotion, he talks like he's gargling gravel (because a gravelly voice automatically makes a character cool), and he moves like he's got a saggy diaper that leaks.

I also don't think a sandbox game like that should have such limited consequences for the player's actions. It should either have no consequences or more than two. You have to be all the way good or all the way evil. Killing innocent civilians gives you bad "karma", but due to the lack of a targeting system, it's inevitable. The game gets so busy, some poor joe is bound to get in the way sooner or later.

I dunno, it's like the game expects me to be "hardcore" or "cool" to really get into it. But I'm not cool. That's why I opted to buy Ghostbusters over inFAMOUS (I guess if I was cool I wouldn't think that was a stupid tiTLE) and enjoy destroying expensive property while wrangling and trapping wayward spirits more than I enjoy waddling around a city and shocking people.

Valkyria Chronicles... Man, I'm bad at strategy games... Took me 4 tries to get past the first tank. Lost a red shirt on the try that made it.

Just beat Gears of War.

I need to get Gears 2 now.

They are American shooters that I actually like!

Anyone playing Megaten Online? I'd like your opinion on what to expect. The only other MMO I've played is WoW and I'm aware that not all MMOs are as friendly and forgiving as WoW is.

Two new PSN downloads:

Wolfenstein 3D (the original version with the Nazis and the mecha-Hitler and the "Guten Tag!" guy)

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

PSN is starting to give us some pretty good stuff.

SotN has been on PSN since they first started running PS1 classics on PSN... I've had it from about day one of me getting my PS3.

I keep forgetting wolfenstein is on PSN. It's Duke Nukem that we're not going to get.

I'm pretty much ALWAYS playing through Final Fantasy VIII, because it is made of win and packed with ownage. XD Just kidding, it has it's weak points, but any game does. Anyway, I was also playing FFIX, til one of the boss battles glitched up, so now I can't get past it. D: Also, I just randomly started playing Monster Rancher Battle Card: Episode II today. Seriously, I got it when I was like five or so, and...XD Umm...Spyro The Dragon, which I've beaten 120% and am now just playing for the awesomeness and the music. Really haven't gotten around to much recently, so...

Having finished my Minus Excalibur II FFIX playthrough, I've turned my attention back towards Persona 4, with an additional helping of puzzle goodness from an obscure little game, Mole Mania.

Knights in the Nightmare

Strategy RPG from the Riviera: The Promised Land and Yggdra Union development studio. Took me awhile to get used to the game mechanics, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. So far, this is the second DS RPG (the first being The World Ends With You) to actually impress me with the controls and originality.

I'm currently playing chicken kung fu. It's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Derek -The Daring Pokemon - A cool, totally awesome Pokemon that uses his power of song, medical skills and powers of cool to make others see things differently. He is not temperamental, but he likes to pull pranks and grins when you fall into his traps. Usually, he styles a fedora and prances around on all fours, he's all black with a white belly.

Right now I'm playing through The World Ends With You again because my friend accidentally erased my file. Oh well, I was going to play through it again anyway because it's one of my favorite games of all time. ^_^

[Prototype], which is awesome. There's something appealing about not having to worry about "good" or "bad" in a sandbox game.

Skate 2. I don't even like skateboarding, why is this game so fun!?!?

Golden Sun. Good.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Better.
Super Robot Taisen OG 2. Equal, but with giant robot awesome, which makes it the best.

Also, I just got a PS2, and I got back into Axelay. Yup, got lots of gaming ahead of me.

The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past w/ Four Swords. I'm also getting into the minigames featured in the WarioWare titles.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja.

Not too bad. The fighting portions are button mashers (which doesn't bug me because I just wanna see big flashy moves like that whip thing), and the adventure portions tend to be a bit boring, especially since they're rewarding you for really mundane things (like breaking things... 200 breakables for a reward) but I've only done one fight, so far. In that fight, bonus completion points come from defeating Kakashi with Ninjutsu... I dealt the final blow with my kagebunshin no jutsu chain, so how was that NOT Ninjutsu? I don't see Lee using Kagebunshin no Jutsu...

As far as connecting it with the show, it's not too bad, but I have one major nitpick: I can stand perfectly still on water at the beginning of the game... And yet I can't run on most walls, unless they have wooden "steps" nailed on... Manga / anime wise, Chakra control enough to stand still on water should mean running up a wall is not an issue.

Then there's the fact that I can't break breakables with my Naruto canon... So throwing a teen boy into a lamp isn't enough to break it into many pieces, but a little knife would be? Hmm...

I haven't quite figured out the trick to the Konohamaru hide and seek (though I found him pretty quickly my first time by guessing), but I may not be able to if it's something to do with my radar... Since I'm not using the High def, I can't see a galznerking thing on the radar, or most of the mission instructions for that matter... They should really make PS3 / 360 games with a "standard def HUD" option...
