Past:
Calvin and Hobbes

Peanuts
Bloom County/Outland
Current:

Zits

Calvin and Hobbes
Fox Trot
xkcd
Wondermark
Indexed
Dilbert
The Far Side

All are good for a laugh, some via cliche and some by lampooning cliches. Most of them are suitably filled with tech and geek in jokes. If you only read one, read The Far Side. One panel, sometimes morbid, always humorous.
Where an Eidolon, named night, on a black throne reigns upright.
