WHERE is Jeopardy?

WHERE is Jeopardy?

Postby ST. Attidude » Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:35 am

For as long as the DS has been out, I can't believe that no one has developed a Jeopardy DS title yet!....

The DS is PERFECT for this game:

One could use the mic for answering questions (or "questioning" answers, rather )

One could also easily write in their name, wagers, and final Jeopardy questions with the touch screen and stylus at their disposal (the game would probably display accompanying text that is the game's interpretation of what is being written...hey, they did that for Brain Age, but it was with numbers, right?)

What's the holdup, eh? :)

Game show-based games aren't popular anymore, for one thing.

I'm not sure they ever really were.
Embraced by a gentle breeze, my heart breaks as I think of you.

Speech recognition is pretty complicated, especially if you take into account all the different regional accents (example, southerners pronounce pecan "pee-can," whereas northerners pronounce it "peh-kahn") or phrases (soda vs. pop for example).
(the game would probably display accompanying text that is the game's interpretation of what is being written...hey, they did that for Brain Age, but it was with numbers, right?)

Numbers are less complicated and have less of a stylistic difference than letters do. Plus, what about Brits who would write "colour" or "realise" and then the game would consider that wrong?

The holdup is it wouldn't work on any level.

It would have to have tons of jokes about Trabek's mother.

I highly disagree.
Who Wants to be a Millionaire? was an amazing game show based game.

So addictive.

But...it's like going through the stress and pressure of the show...and not getting money.

That's like showering in a raincoat.

There was a jeopardy on the PS3... I've heard pretty universally it sucked... And Sony owns Jeopardy, so... It'll probably still end up on the DS at some point (just like the spiderman movie games)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.
