Half Man half tree, this is a show going on right now on TLC. The guy has a weakened immune system so when a common wart virus took root and started to grow in to this out of control gnarled system of warts that make him look like he is literally sprouting roots all over his body. Part of the real battle though seems to be going on between the American dermatologist who started working with him and the Indonesian Gov't who decided to step in after ignoring the man for years and work over some less well thought out kind of hasty surgeries.

In that most recent photo he actually looks worse than he does right now where I am currently. They're just now getting ready to try chemo therapy on him where I am in the show.

Darn... that's quite a reality check, I don't think we really realise how fragile our bodies really are...

I hope they can help him though, I really hope so

I read that they were able to get over 90% of the lesions out. Guess his treatment is not as easy one would think.

They were able to surgically remove them, but they kept coming back. The problem was that the doctors in his own country were only seeking a quick-fix aesthetic cure while the other doctor was actually looking for a non-invasive way to just get rid of them period.
