Cuteness? Don't you mean this as the innocence of the show? My fourteen year old side may have been talking then. Wow, has it been that long? 5 years? Man Im getting old.
DNAngel is one of few that hasn't really been tainted with fan service(Thank the Lord.), although there was one or two things, it didn't really affect the show that much.

The english dub was good but I have to say that Daisuke sounded a bit too...posh and proper. I notice that with some of the other roles Kevin Corn takes. Listen to him say a word ending in the letter "T", and you'll see what I mean.[/color][/SIZE][/font]

Yeah, he does sound a bit "posh and proper", but I think Kevin Corn did a pretty good job voicing Daisuke. I personally didn't mind it at all to be truthful; although, I really haven't seen it in years so I probably can't say much about it.
Even though the american VA's voices can get a little annoying in this anime I do think it's one of the better dubbed ones in that everybody actually sounds their age. A lot of times the fourteen year olds will sound like 34 year olds, but thankfully this one avoids that.
