Finally picked back up with MGS3 and beat it. Man. That fight with The Boss was intense. Also, glad to take out Volgin. I loved that game... The ending was a good wrapup too.

Downloaded the beta for World at War. So far so fun! Honestly, it feels like the old CoD and Battlefield games with a fresh coat of paint, but I'd never owned any of the CoD franchise and some of my fondest LANing memories were of playing BF1942 at parties, so I'm perfectly OK with this. Add in a Halo-esque queue system and I'm an extremely happy camper. Now I just hope it can support multiple players on one box for local matches.

Occasionally, I've been playing some PSP games from the recent past. Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2 and Jeanne d'Arc. I haven't played any console games since late summer.

I can't wait for these games: White Knight Chronicles, Final Fantasy XIII and vs. XIII, Resident Evil 5, etc...

I also have to get Valkyria Chronicles. That will most likely be the next PS3 game that I play.

I think Valkyria Chronicles is the one game that I'm definitely envious of for the PS3 crowd.

It definitely seems like a very nice exclusive for the PS3.

And, I hate to admit it.

But, there's very few PS3 games that I've been interested in since MGS4. Valkyria Chronicles is the first one that I really want since then.

Well, I guess I'm sort of interested in Silent Hill: Homecoming. But, I can wait for awhile to get that one. I love survival horror games. But, they are usually short games. So, I'll wait until I can find it for a cheaper price.

I'm finishing up Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Being the TR freak I am, I was absolutely determined to enjoy this game no matter what its shortcomings. I'd heard naysayers say this was a lackluster installment, but forget them, I said! This was gonna be awesome! The game I'd been waiting for ever since Legend came out!

But this game is, when it comes down to it, just not very good.

The camera is *awful*. I cannot stress this enough. This is the worst camera I've ever had to work with. It's tough enough to judge distance in a TR game that has a good camera, so here it's just amazingly annoying.

Second, the story blows chunks. I know, it's a Tomb Raider game, I shouldn't expect anything. But Legend surprised me after I'd heard the story was so awful, and I ended up enjoying it for what it was, anyway. Here, it isn't even so bad it's good. It's just...boring. And stupid.

Lastly, the game has gorgeous graphics, and it really takes advantage of this during the first half of the game. Some of the early levels are breathtakingly beautiful. But somewhere during Mexico, the game takes a horrible, drab, unforgivably blue turn. My eyes actually seriously hurt after staring at so much blue. And it never changes. Ever.

It goes on, but my post is too long anyway. To wrap it up: this game is way, way too much like Angel of Darkness.

OOH! OOH! I forgot! Melee combat! This is what bothers me the most...the game pretty much forgets all about that puzzle business early on, and instead focuses on combat. Melee combat, in fact. It's unnecessary, repetitive, and it reminds me of Dreamfall. And if there's one thing I never want to be reminded of, it's Dreamfall.

That's precisely why I just don't dig Fallout 3. I should feel like I'm playing a game, not working through it. I mean I like it, it's really impressive, but I guess I just lack the amount of devotion that a massive open-world game like that demands of me.

For my part, playing through Silent Hill 2 for the umpty-bajillionth time. It never gets old.

Pardon my inappropriate choice of words.
I'm exploring my way through Fallout 3 and loving every minute of it. It's captured my attention like few games ever have.

If a game makes me 'work' I stop playing it.

Back on Saints Row 2. Now that I finished it fair, I am doing another game with cheats. Funny what having infinite satchel charges helps with.

Soul Calibur IV... and, after experiencing lag after lag after freaking lag, I will never play this game online EVER again. I've tried, but I'm fully convinced that fighters are simply not meant for online gameplay. I tried... and it's a shame, because I've always loved the Soul series.

With that said, I'm EXTREMELY irritated and I need a nap.

Just got Chrono Trigger for the DS. I'll start playing it later tonight.

edit: Yeah. It's groovy. Some of the dialogue is rewritten slightly and names of a few items and enemies are different. But fans of the game will let that slide just for the opportunity to play it on a handheld system and newcomers won't know the difference anyway. The option to bring the menu system down to the touchscreen feels somewhat uselessly gimmicky. I just play it the old way. There's also a handful of animated FMV sequences (familiar to those who've played the PS1 port from a few years back) and a multiplayer arena mode that I haven't yet been able to try but doesn't sound all that interesting anyway.

Overall, a few minor changes and extra nifty bits make it little better than it was, but certainly no worse. The price tag is $40, which is ten bucks more than the average DS game, but it's extra dough that's definitely worth parting with. You might not want to just put this on your Christmas list and wait. You wouldn't regret just buying it yourself.

Dynasty Warriors 6 for the PS2
Kirby's Squeak Squad

Kirby goes through crazy danger just to get his stolen strawberry shortcake back from a huge rat. A DS game with one of the craziest storylines that I have seen in a video game. XD

Siren: Blood Curse for PS3. First impression after playing episode 1 . . . if Resident Evil were scary, it'd be like this. Starts off on the right foot, though the end of the episode is a bit anticlimactic. Overall, really good so far.

well, as far as games go, Im rummaging through my old NES, SNES, Genesis ROMS that I've collected over the years, so whenever I have free time while in college, you'll most likely catch me playing Mario, Sonic, or better yet, Donkey Kong Classic! LOL

When I'm not in school, Im playing Mabinogi.
