Well its a little early to start hating on individuals scenes because we really dont know anything yet. I dont know about you guys but im looking forward to it.

I'm interested in this one. They presented implications of morale quandaries indicate to me this movie will be intellectual and include complex characters with variety of motivations and ethical and moral viewpoints. Or so I hope. I will be annoyed if the end is merely a reinforcement of nihilistic ideologies.

Naturally I plan to see it and predict I will enjoy it. But if there is any movie that deserves nitpicking, it is Watchmen. The graphic novel is a carefully crafted masterpiece and it would be terrible if it was turned into a simple action film. Those can be fun, but not if they were supposed to be Watchmen.

I don't think the original story ultimately intends to endorse the philosophies of any specific character. Hopefully the movie will retain the spirit of ambiguity.
Though I really wonder how reviewers will react to the film...

Rotten Tomatoes did a 10-page, in-depth trailer analysis. I found it to be quite an interesting read. Especially the fact that they took the trailer apart and literally analyzed every 2-3 seconds of the trailer.

Already saw the HQ posters some days ago. Overall I must say they're awesome, but I do wish they would've laid off the whole nipple thing on Laurie. I know what they're aiming for here, but it still just looks stupid and wrong.
Then again, I guess it'll just add onto Rorschach's line of "I never cared for your costume..." later on.

This is a new promo poster. Also, the video documentaries on the making of the film, along with some additional footage shown at the Spike Scream 200 Awards can be found on the movie's blog. EDIT: Er... It appears that there may be some spoilers in that additional footage. I don't know if someone unfamiliar with the story would pick up on them or not, though.
My hopes that this will be good are getting more and more positive.

Well... this does sound a little interesting I guess. I had heard of this but the subject didn't interest me enough to check it out before. Never read or even heard of the comic till recently. Thought it was just another generic superhero type thing. Anyway, the trailer looked nice but I dunno... the posters are better IMO. I thought they were awesome. Trailer didn't really show enough of what it was about or anything and I still feel like it looks like another boring superhero movie. But it looked nice 
And hearing that its NOT just another run of the mill superhero flick is nice to hear. I hope its really good though and does fantastic in theaters... maybe then they'll finally make a Sandman movie.

Oohoohoo. Watchmen is anything BUT your generic superhero movie. It focuses more on the humanity of many of the heroes. (Only one really has any superpowers, and that's Dr. Manhattan)

Generic superhero fiction is just the sort of thing Watchmen was written to replace. The Idea of the Superhero is just the disguise it wears to mask its true identity.[spoiler]Though it's not much of a Defender of Justice, really.[/spoiler]

The fact that this movie is impending has brought all the intelligent readers of graphic novels at my college out of the woodwork. It was in one of these conversations that I learned there was new footage, but I hadn't tracked it down yet. Thanks for posting.

I am definitely looking forward, and so is Number One Son. In fact, he went to school on Halloween as Rohrshach, and made fourth-place in the costume contest (and he was seriously ticked at the winner, a girl who went as a nun with a short habit and fishnet stockings. I seriously have questions about his high-school now!)
By the way, he was pleasantly surprised at exactly how many people recognized the character. He also had some fun with the fact that it genuinely scared a number of girls.

I really like how they've kept John Higgins' color palette. It gives everything such an atmosphere.

This could go either way really, but I'm excited for it based on how it's looking now. I'm afraid a bit though, since I heard online that supposedly the ending has been changed. How true this is I'm not sure, and it could very well be false, but it is what I heard....which worries me.

I actually don't like the trailer as much as the teaser. That doesn't mean I think it's worse - the trailer is simply attempting to set up plot and characters. Already knowing both, I preferred the stylized shots from before.
From what I have read, they attempted to change the form of the ending without changing the intent. I can live with this, though I'll see what I think of it in the context of the film itself.

I also preferred the execution of the music-synced teaser. Very succinct without giving too much away, just enough.
Not sure what I think about them...[spoiler]Revealing the Comedian's death right off the bat. I mean, yes, it'd be the first scene in the film, hardly spoilerific, but I believe it'd have more impact on non-comic book readers if they walked in thinking the Comedian was a major player, only to find out he dies immediately.
