Well, if you're gonna act like that, why'd you come in here anyway?

Are you just trying to start a fight?:o

What do you know, anyway? You just don't remember what it was like to be in high school and in LOVE. :stressed::stressed:

LOL! You asked! I just answered! XD
Yah, I don't remember what it's like to be in love haha! I have never been! XP

It's just the hype though... I liked the first one, but the second was waaaaaaaay too giddy for my tastes and I couldn't even watch it.

Plus I think Disney is treating the storyline like a cashcow... >_>

:o:o:oThe second was a total masterpiece! I liked it even more than the first! It was sooooo much better than that space oddysey movie I watched afterward. I had to fast forward, like, half the movie lol! I'd say HMS2 was way up there with Pochahants as Disney's best!

EDIT: LOL typo

To quote one Mr. Zac Efron in Entertainment magazine: "I hope it’s better than the last one. --wait-- I didn’t mean that the way it sounded!"

You know a movie is in sad shape when its lead actor can't even keep his distaste a secret. =/

(I should probably add a caveat that I do, as a matter of fact, feel nothing but heartfelt sympathy for poor Mr. Efron; must suck to be the heartthrob idol of screaming girls half his own age.)

Happened with Twilight, too. Sad, really.

I mean, er...shut up. This movie's going to be awesome and it's sequels were awesome too and your all just being mean. DD:

I wasn't laughing at you!

You know what!? I think I changed my mind. This movie is going to be even better than the flu! I can't wait to not see it! 8D

And LOL
Poor Robert Pattinson! Those little tweens are all "OMEEEEEEEE!" XD I would be TERRIFIED! I think he has it worse than Zac? *nods* yeah..much worse. Buuut I guess since a lot of older people are wanting to see that movie it's a little better? XD

I can be sure that High School Musical 3 and any ensuing sequels will be, at the very least, 340% better than Twilight, or indeed, any ensuing sequels.*

Well, I guess I'm the only one that's excited. :( *sniff* oh well.

*(But to quote a member of another forum, this is in much the same way as a pile of dead kittens isn't quite as sad as a pile of dead babies.)

you know Tarnish you kinda blurted there. when you asked who else was going to see it? it's understandable to hope people would respond positively, but when Kitsune said "no. way." voicing her oppinion she wasn't being rude about it. I'm pretty sure you've said something similar to something you might have disliked or wished not to see right? I can see where you thought she was laughing at you cause sometimes I can take comments like that the same way. But i don't think she was trying to make a joke at you.

Now I am not trying to start an argument, and sorry if I made mad or sad right now, just trying to see if I can give some clarification. *hands a hanky over to Tarnish and a cookie.* hope you feel better. ^-^

honestly, I might but right now that whole Vanessa Hudgens internet scandal is still fresh in my mind and kinda turned me off. I know we have to realize people are going to make mistakes, but eventually it'll blow off. I'm pretty sure God forgives her for what she's done. I know we all probably have. it's just the disgust is still there a little. I'll get over it though. (yeah I'm weird like that that would bother me sorry).

Now I think hairspray was interesting and that had Zac Effron so it's nothing against the movie at least ^-^.

I did love alot of the songs from the original HSM too. Especially the 1st and last ones those were greant ^-^.

High School Musical is pretty full of silly (GOLF COURSE EMO DANCE \o/), buuut I must confess that Zac Efron is freaking hot.

For a white guy.

One thing I don't get is all the extreme hate on it. Dislike is natural, believing that it's bad is natural, poking fun at it is natural, but the whole extremist OMG I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT THEY SHOULD ALL DIE IN A FIRE is a little weird. It's a kid's movie. People above the age of 12 don't really go around making jokes about how Sesame Street is for "babies"-- this is kind of... obvious? Why make a big deal out of it?

O.o I wasn't hating on it...she said that it should be nominated FOR Oscar... I think he'd like it too!

I liked the first one... Sequels, unless they are for books or whatever always seem to fall short. I don't know why Disney feels the need to put this movie in theaters. They usually only do that for franchises they know is going to die soon. (See Lizzie Macquire movie)

To be honest, this thread doesn't seem to be a very serious thread to me. at least by the tone of things >_>;

Nah, I wasn't saying anyone here was hating, just in general =/

Why was HSM 2 ever made?

Why does Zac Efron not own up to the blatant fact that he hates High School Musical?

Yeah, especially if you use logic! HSM 3: Senior Year. Get that, Senior year. Meaning unless the kids don't pass their grades, this is the last one of the HSM movies.

And to point out my view of HSM, please refer to last saturday's SNL's episode during the Weekend Update segment. The one with the Sarah Palin rap.

Ahem. XD It's not my first choice of a movie that I would see. I know my five younger sibs are going to see it. So I'll most likely by dragged along as a chaperone. XD

So technically they can't make another one after this right? Because they'd be graduating if it's senior year.

Unless they make "College Musical."

Or "Minimum Wage Job Musical."

There is a 'Minimum Wage Job Musical.' It's called Avenue Q.

Actually, I take that back; it's more like 'Unemployment Musical.' Which is like high school, but not as permanently traumatizing.

In all honesty, the trailers for the HSM movies scare me.

I mean, seriously, if that's what high school really was like, I got ripped off, and I want my money back.

Some kids like it though, so that's a plus, depending who you talk to, I suppose. XD Let them live in their little fantasy world beliving that high school is all singing and dancing. I mean, sure they'll be disappointed when they finally reach high school and find out it's nothing like that and want to sue Disney for shattering their dreams, but hey, at least they're happy for the time being, am I right?
