For 70 cents a piece! I don't think I have ever come across a cheaper batch of cds. Most of them were no-name praise/worship bands, but I pulled these three gems out of the pile.

My favorite soft songs are "Field of Innocence" and "Even in Death". The harder ones that I like are "Lies" and "Whisper". I also like the lyrics in "Imaginary" and the lack of lyrics in "Eternal". Despite a few duds, it is an excellent cd, perfect for after midnight.

Yay Within Temptation! "Memories" and "Somewhere" are my favorites, too. I also love "Jillian" and "Pale".

Well, a couple months ago I bought a huge batch of CDs that kind of illustrate how eclectic I am when it comes to musical tastes. Let's see if I can remember them all:

Celtic Woman - A New Journey
Mairead - Raining Up
KJ-52 - The Yearbook
Alter Bridge - Blackbird
Skillet - Comatose
Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage
(My brother got a bunch of punk rock, which I listen to as well. As he put it, the only things missing to fully illustrate how eclectic we are would be an Eiffel 65 CD and maybe some Vivaldi or something.)

Then about a month ago I bought Worlds Collide by Apocalyptica. And just last week, I bought A Twist In My Story by Secondhand Serenade. Needless to say, I am now penniless.

I've been into the White Stripes for a while, but all I had was a few songs I'd picked up here and there. On a whim I decided to listen to Blue Orchid because I hadn't heard it in a while and THAT led to me digging Icky Thump out of the CD collection (which WILL make my top 10 of the year, by the way....Little Cream Soda and Rag & Bone are like...wow). I bought Get Behind Me Satan a few days ago...and that led to my current White Stripes resurgence.

Yep, Azam Ali is a very talented vocalist and song writer, and produces some brilliant work with Niyaz and other projects. I first heard her in the Gothic/Industrial/Darkwave compilation DJ Ferret's Underground Mix #2, and have been a fan ever since.

Eisley- Combinations & Room Noises

I've been meaning to buy both of these for.... a long time. It's such calm and soothing music, and the vocals are so beautiful, even if the lyrics leave something to be desired occasionally.

Even though I have no idea what they're saying, I love Niyaz because it sounds so pretty! I think my favorite song is "Allah Hi Allah", purely for the sound; they might be saying things I wouldn't like, but I can't understand it, so whatever.
